Kurisu Makise is the main character and love interest of Rintarou Okabe in the Steins; Gate anime series. Kurisu is an active participant in the Brain Research Program at Victor Qondria University. Even though her age bracket coincides with third-year high school students in the United States, she advanced a year early in school.
A portion of her notoriety in the United States stems from the fact that she has written these papers, which have been featured in the media. She developed a strong character as a result of the envy she received as a result of skipping a grade as a young American girl. She keeps a hard face because she doesn’t want people to think she’s weak. But when her curiosity is piqued, she can’t help but investigate further.
Every once in a while, she’ll have an opinion that’s out of the ordinary, such as, “The experiment data is more important than the subject’s privacy.”
Makise Kurisu claims to have accidentally run into Rintarou Okabe 15 minutes before their first meeting at the Akihabara Radio Hall. Rintarou later texts Itaru about finding her in a pool of blood.

At a lecture, Rintarou encounters her while she appears to be in wonderful condition after everyone else’s memories have vanished. He tries to check her pulse by touching her hair, and the two of them dispute until Kurisu finally had to start the lecture.
After declaring at the outset of the seminar that time machines are impossible, Rintarou challenges her, and the rest of the lecture is transformed into a debate. Following several run-ins with Rintarou Okabe, she decides to become Member 004 of the Future Gadget Lab. She goes by many aliases, but “Christina” and “Assistant” are two of Rintarou’s favourites.

Kurisu’s relationship with her father is strained at best. Her father’s lectures captivated her attention so much as a child that she sought out additional information on the topics. She began pursuing careers in the scientific community almost immediately. She was so smart that she constantly bested her father at his own game, which led to tension between them.
Finally, at the end of the show, Okabe saves her without changing the past. She has no conscious recollections of her interactions with him in alternate realities, yet she still harbours fond affections for him
