CoG: Hangyaku no Rurushu, more commonly known as ‘code guess, is an anime series produced by Sunrise that focuses on a group of mecha-wielding ninjas. In 2006, it aired on Japanese television. Ichiro Kouchi, who directs and writes the show’s scripts, is also the show’s director. To tell the story of Lelouch vi Britannia, the exiled prince, the show takes place in an alternate period. What Is Code Geass About?

Before this series, Lelouch vi Britannia and his sister Princess Nunnally vi Britannia lived in the Holy Britannian Empire’s capital city of Pendragon. Lelouch was ten and Nunnally was six when their mother was murdered. As a result of witnessing her mother’s death in the crossfire, Nunnally was left paralyzed and blinded. Anger grew within Lelouch when he saw how his father had failed to act, and the two were sent to live in Japan with their aunt and uncle at a temple dedicated to the goddess Kururugi.

Lelouch and Suzaku Kururugi grew close during World War II but were forced to part ways when the war ended in 2010, putting an end to Japan’s existence. It was renamed “Area 11” after the nation was humiliated for a month. To attend the Ashford Academy, the Ashford Foundation, where their mother worked as an air traffic controller, they were given an offer by their mother’s former employer, the Ashford Foundation. They were given a maid, Sayoko Shinozaki, to help them care for Nunnally in their mountain hideout for years. Lelouch holds the key to Nunnally’s future. To that end, he is on a quest to discover the truth about the murder of his mother, which took place in the Aries Imperial Palace, a location where terrorists would find it difficult to infiltrate undetected.
