Perry Mason Season 2: After premiering in June 2020, Perry Mason was quickly renewed for a second season by HBO. Set in post-Depression America, the story follows a group of people as they strive to rebuild their lives. Down-and-out PI Matthew Rhys (who also plays the role) has his own demons to fight and a major kidnapping case to solve. Exciting new mysteries await Perry Mason in season 2, and we can’t wait to learn what they are.
Perry Mason Season 2 Release Date
Expect the second season of Perry Mason in February of 2023.
In May of 2021, Matthew Rhys, who plays Perry Mason, said production on the show would begin whenever they were ready. There has been no sudden change in its iceberg-like pace. And at this point, I think winter is pretty much what we’re looking at.
Shea Wigham, Perry Mason’s co-star, recently told Collider that production was “about halfway through the second season,” so it may be a while before we see season 2 of the show.
It would make sense to release the second season in the summer of 2023, which is close to the premiere of the first season in June of 2020.

The producers of Perry Mason season 2 are, in classic neo-noir fashion, being cagey about the show’s story. However, at this point in time, we have deciphered the mysteries as best we can to provide you with answers.
Perry, having discovered a new calling, becomes a full-fledged defence attorney by the end of the first season, forming Mason and Associates with Della Street (Juliet Rylance) and detective Paul Drake. The second season of Perry Mason will centre on the three protagonists’ never-ending crusade for fairness in a corrupt society.
If the first season is any indication, the second will focus on the same major case as the first. The nature of that case, however, is still a mystery, although there are many novels from which the show was adapted that may provide hints.
Who Will Be In The Perry Mason Season 2 Cast?
To get things going, here’s a simple question. When Season 2 of Perry Mason premieres, Matthew Rhys will be back in the title role. I’ll bet your bottom dollar you didn’t see that coming!
Chris Chalk will also return as Dr. Paul Drake, and Juliet Rylance as Della Street. Since they recently assisted Mason in the establishment of his law firm, Mason and Associates, this is logical.

As previously announced, Shea Wigham’s character, Pete Strickland, will return for season 2 in an effort to lend Perry Mason a helping hand.
A name that won’t be back for the upcoming season is Tatiana Maslany. Unfortunately, the actor who played Sister Alice in season 1 has had to leave the show due to schedule difficulties. Possible connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series She-Hulk.
