Season 6 of Peaky Blinders won’t be available on Netflix in the United States until after it aired on the BBC in the United Kingdom. All five seasons are now available on Netflix, having debuted there on October 4, 2019—nearly three weeks after they first broadcast in the United Kingdom. Tommy Shelby, played by Murphy, was a role that Director Steven Knight specifically cast Murphy for. The protagonist is a Birmingham-based diddicoy war veteran of the First World War. In 1919, when the story begins, we meet Shelby, and his conflicts with Inspector Campbell and his love for Grace drive the plot. Many plots in Peaky Blinders revolve around Shelby and Alfie Solomons’ relationship.

Polly Gray:

Mother of Michael and Anna Gray and aunt to Arthur, Thomas, John, Ada, and Finn Shelby, Elizabeth “Polly” Gray (née Shelby) was the matriarch of the Shelby family. Shelby Company Limited’s certified accountant and treasurer, she was also a member of the criminal gang The Peaky Blinders in Birmingham.

When the Shelby brothers were away fighting in World War I, she ran Peaky Blinders. She was the de facto matriarch of the Shelby family, giving business advice to her nephews.

As a result of her nephew’s attempts to have Oswald Mosley murdered, the IRA eventually tracked her down and killed her. The funeral procession brought her body to Thomas, who sobbed uncontrollably as he received it at his home, Arrow House.
