Anime Characters With Telekinetic Powers: Telekinesis is the paranormal capacity to manipulate objects without touching them. Of course, telekinesis isn’t the only form of mental power seen in anime; nonetheless, it is among the most prominent. All sorts of things are possible, from transporting relatively small objects like swords to lifting massive quantities of land.
Telekinetic anime characters have been around for quite some time. Despite the versatility of their abilities, several of these heroes are most known for using their skills in combat. All the characters here are skilled telekinetics, and several of them have become icons in the eyes of anime fans everywhere.
1. Lucy – Elfen Lied
The Diclonius are a novel species in Elfen Lied, easily distinguished by their little horns that mimic cat ears. In addition, they can manipulate objects with what amounts to invisible hands (vectors) thanks to their telekinetic skills.
With her Diclonius strength, Lucy is a formidable opponent. Her vectors are so robust that they can kill any human within two meters of her. The fact that they are invisible to the naked eye makes it extremely difficult to defend against an attack from what is sometimes called vibrating arms.
2. Hina – Hinamatsuri
With significant help from Hina, the 2018 spring series Hinamatsuri was a critical and audience success. She was introduced as a vital psychic from a place where interdimensional travel was possible because of advanced technology. Despite her considerable abilities, she ultimately proved lazy and appeared intolerable to live with.
Earlier in the show, she single-handedly took out an entire gang with her telekinesis; thus, her strength wasn’t an illusion. She also demonstrated her prowess when she faced off against the second psychic to emerge in the anime, winning at a telekinetically enhanced game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.
3. Erza Scarlet – Fairy Tail
Erza is a well-recognized and beloved character from the groundbreaking Fairy Tail series. She’s a disciplined mage and part of the series’ namesake Fairy Tail guild. She is considered one of the guild’s top fighters: she possesses many valuable skills.
Even though Erza is famous for her lightning-fast weapon and armor changes, she can also use telekinesis to wield multiple swords simultaneously with her mind. The death of her mentor, teacher, and savior, Rob, unwittingly triggered this ability she had as a child.
4. Mewtwo – Pokémon
Mewtwo is a legendary artificial pokémon. On top of all that, it’s a legendary pokémon with a high level of self-awareness. Mewtwo acted cruelly and maliciously, yet it was subsequently proven to have sympathy and even conduct heroic acts.
Mewtwo has the abilities of telepathy and telekinesis because it is a psychic-type Pokémon. This grants him the ability to telepathically communicate with people and employ telekinesis to manipulate items, construct force fields, and directly strike his opponents. It has been around for a while and is one of the most well-known characters in the series because of its resilience and individuality.
5. Tetsuo Shima – Akira
Akira, a popular anime from the 1980s, featured Tetsuo as the film’s primary antagonist. He was once on Kaneda’s side, but after gaining control of his psychic abilities, he went on a power-hungry rampage.
He has exceptionally intense psychic talents and could cause widespread destruction. For instance, he could prevent tank shells from exploding and even cause tank explosions. He was so powerful that he could tilt a bridge so far that anything on it would fall into the sea below. At the film’s end, however, he loses control of his abilities, and his body is overtaken by a massive blob of flesh.
6. Saiki Kusuo – The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K.
Despite being part of a comedic series, Saiki has become one of the most well-known psychics in anime. Although he is generally reserved, he desires to lead a mundane existence. He also seems to take pleasure in assisting others, as evidenced by his propensity to use his abilities to help others work out their differences and even to occasionally promote the romantic relationships of others.

He can teleport, read minds, hypnotize people, change his appearance, and much more. We see them frequently because they play a significant role in many of the series’ events. Saiki is one of the most powerful psychics on the show and is widely regarded as such in the medium community.
7. Gilgamesh – Fate/Stay Night
Some players even refer to Gilgamesh as “The King of Heroes” because of how powerful he is in Fate. He has appeared in several episodes and has had substantial roles in most of them because he is a recurrent character. He is so arrogant and self-important that even when he is called to serve, his superiors treat him with deference.
Gilgamesh has a massive treasure full of formidable weapons that can be considered noble phantoms in their own right because he is the King of Heroes and one of the first ever to exist. He can enter these realms using one of his famous noble phantasms, the Gate of Babylon. Like Erza, he uses his telekinetic powers to display by hurling swords and other weapons from his treasury at his enemies like projectiles.
8. Tatsumaki – One Punch Man
Tatsumaki is the second-best professional hero in the One Punch Man universe despite her diminutive stature and arrogant demeanor. Because of her love for her little sister Fubuki, she puts up with the Hero Association’s constant requests for her to hunt monsters, no matter how much they annoy her. She also had a troubled background, having been separated from her family and used as a test subject for experiments because of her unique abilities.
She has often demonstrated why she is the most formidable esper in the series. In the story arc titled “Alien Conquerors,” she was shown moving enormous mounds of rubble and steering massive bombs in the direction of the invading spaceship. In addition, she could use her telekinesis to lift the Monster Association headquarters, and she even managed to take down the fusion of Psykos and Orochi, two of the most powerful monsters in the anime.
9. Shigeo Kageyama – Mob Psycho 100
Shigeo, a quiet middle schooler who is one of the youngest and most robust on this list, stands out. As a result, he does his best to rein in his abilities so that they don’t cause harm to himself or those around him. In addition, he is exceptionally humble and kind, always thinking of others’ perspectives and doing what he can to aid them.
Like many other anime esper characters, Shigeo possesses a wide range of abilities and is competent enough to learn new ones as the series progresses. He has a powerful ability in telekinesis and can control it with pinpoint accuracy. Even when not in the right frame of mind, he displayed remarkable skills, such as the ability to perfectly reassemble tiny pieces of paper back into their original pages and reconstruct the broken parts of a school building.
10. Frieza – Dragon Ball
Frieza, the main villain of the Dragon Ball series, is one of the most recognizable anime villains. He is known as the “The Emperor of Universe 7,” and he is a cruel dictator with a reputation for annihilating the planets he has conquered.
The evildoer ranks among Goku’s most formidable opponents thanks to his tremendous strength and other abilities. He has demonstrated the capacity to telekinetically lift and hurl a massive chunk of land at Goku. Perhaps his most well-known telekinetic performance was the assassination of Krillin, which prompted Goku’s first transformation into Super Saiyan.
