Euphoria Season 3 Release Date, Cast Update In 2022

Euphoria Season 3: The third season of Euphoria was confirmed halfway through the second, relieving fans of any anxiety about the show’s future and allowing them to focus on the excellent content.

“Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken season two to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form while maintaining its heart,” said Francesca Orsi, Vice President of HBO programming, in a statement.

To work with such a talented and wildly talented team is an honor, and we are thrilled to continue our journey with them into season three.

An issue that HBO’s Chief Content Officer Casey Bloys has previously acknowledged is the limited longevity of the sexy high school drama. Bloys: “I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [teenagers].”

Euphoria Season 3 Potential Release Date

Despite our knowledge, the premiere date for Euphoria Season 3 has not yet been set.

The production problems caused by COVID-19 caused a significant delay in the release of Euphoria Season 2, but the two bonus episodes made the wait more bearable.

It was initially anticipated that Season 3 of the show would premiere in early 2023, hoping that these problems would not affect future episodes.

But Eric Dane (Nate’s father, Cal Jacobs) of Grey’s Anatomy has deflated that hope a little.

The actor told Variety that filming could begin in November, though that doesn’t necessarily mean the show will premiere in the new year.

His statement, “I just saw something that said 2024, which kind of makes sense,” was prophetic. “Like, we might return to shoot in November or something. Truthfully, I have no idea. Not that I’m aware of. It will always be evolving.”

Euphoria Season 3 Cast

You can count on seeing Zendaya reprise her role as Rue alongside returning cast members Hunter Schafer (Jules), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Alexa Demie (Maddy), Algee Smith (Chris), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Maude Apatow (Lexi), Storm Reid (Gia), Nika King (Leslie), Austin Abrams (Ethan), Colman Domingo (Ali), and newcomer Dominic (Elliot).

Of course, Zendaya would be a part of the third season (despite those pesky death rumors). To TVLine, Casey Bloys recently declared, “she’s going to be in season three – it’s hard to fathom doing the program without her.”

In the second season finale, Nate Jacobs, played by Eric Danes, showed up at the warehouse where his father had been hiding with a rifle and a USB containing Cal’s teenage sex films. Then Nate admitted he had phoned the police, leading to Cal’s apprehension.

It has been questioned whether or not Cal will be featured again in Season 3, but Danes have confirmed that the character will. “Oh, of course,” the actor replied when asked by Variety.

Concerning the future of his character and the possibility of redemption, Dane has hinted as follows: “There’s going to be redemption. I mean, that’s the trajectory he’s on. I can’t imagine Cal’s life in solitary confinement. It’s tough to work Cal into the storyline when he’s behind bars.”

Dane has not revealed whether or not he and his father can reconcile, but he is still hopeful. I’m going to hold out hope that this can be fixed. That’s what was going on in that situation,” he said.

You may have noticed that Nate didn’t respond to what I said in the lobby. Even with the weapon, he was genuinely able to voice his emotions. He may as well have said, “I f**king hate you, Dad, for what you did to me,” with the gun.

The guy even goes as far as saying, “I’ve always protected you, and you f**king hated me for it. For the simple reason that Cal thought he was worthless. He felt betrayed by his son. To do what I did in the lobby, but Nate gets a real chance to do it.

Euphoria Season 3 Plot

In between seasons one and two, Euphoria aired two special episodes. While these were born out of concerns about COVID, they were met with a resoundingly positive response, suggesting that additional efforts could be made to focus on different characters before season three.

Meanwhile, season three will likely continue to tie up loose ends left by season two’s shocking conclusion.

It’s possible that Cassie and Maddy can repair their friendship, and Nate will have to face the fallout from sending his father to jail. Then there’s Jules. She wants to make amends with Rue, but after that last voiceover, it seems unlikely that the two fan-favorite characters would ever reconcile.

Meanwhile, there’s a central unanswered question that could play a significant role in Euphoria’s upcoming third season. We’re referring, of course, to Nate’s mysterious third brother, who has shown up in a family photo not once but twice in both seasons.

Some theories about the disappearance of the youngest Jacobs’s brother are more far-fetched than others (that isn’t Ashtray), but the truth behind his disappearance could be the sort of twisted thing that makes this show so compelling.

In addition, Young Cal’s feelings for Derek behind Derek’s back are another potential earthquake starter if Derek decides to return in season three. After the events of the season two finale, however, it seems unlikely that Cal will be released from jail.

Euphoria Season 3 Trailer

We won’t see Rue and company again until at least the latter half of 2022 or the first few months of 2023, as no new footage will be released until closer to the season three air date.
