Chainsaw Man Release Date

It has taken a while, but Crunchyroll has finally confirmed that the Chainsaw Man anime will premiere in October 2022.

We haven’t been given a specific air date yet, but we should hear something soon. As soon as we have further information about the release date, we will post it here.

Chainsaw Man Characters And Cast

The series’ primary voice actors, including Kikunosuke Toya (Tokyo 24th Ward) as Denji, Tomori Kusunoki (Tiger & Bunny) as Makima, Shogo Sakata (Pokemon & My Hero Academia), and Fairouz Ai Kadota (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as Power, were just confirmed by MAPPA.

Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that the anime’s director, Ryu Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen), scriptwriter, Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan), and action director, Tatsuya Yoshihara, are all seasoned professionals in their respective fields (Black Clover).

The music will be composed by Kensuke Ushio (Devilman Crybaby), and the characters and devils will be designed by Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) and Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Devilman Crybaby).

Kikunosuke Toya As Denji

Chainsaw In the realm of Man, devils are created from people’s worst nightmares and can make deals with humans to share some of their power in exchange for a small price.

Denji, a miserable and lonely youngster, works as a devil hunter to repay his late father’s debt to the yakuza, with the assistance of the canine-like Chainsaw Devil Pochita. Pochita establishes a deal, sacrificing himself to restore his deceased comrade and also gifting Denji his powers, after the yakuza betray Denji and enable a devil to kill him.

By pulling a rope at his chest, Denji is transformed into Chainsaw Man, a human-demon hybrid with a chainsaw for a head and two chainsaw blades for limbs, and he serves as a Public Safety Devil Hunter for the government.

Tomori Kusunoki as Makima

Makima, a woman in her twenties who seems to be hiding something, is a Public Safety Devil Hunter. Denji, who knows Makima is the love of her life, manipulates him with her feelings for him and uses Chainsaw Man for unclear reasons.

Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa

In addition to Denji, Aki is a Public Safety Devil Hunter in Makima’s elite Division 4 team. Aki has made a deal with the Curse Devil and Future Devil, similar to Denji’s with Pochita, that gives him access to a powerful spike in exchange for his life and the ability to see a few seconds into the future.

Aki, a trustworthy devil hunter, finally opens out to Denji when they’re alone, and later shows how much he feels about Denji and Power despite their constant bickering.

Fairouz Ai Kadota as Power

Power is a young woman who can transform into a blood fiend with red horns and is good pals with fellow Public Safety Officers Denji and Aki. At first, Power is incredibly violent and self-motivated; she doesn’t care about anyone but her cat. However, she comes to care about Denji and Aki, and they become her first friends.
