If there is a third season, we will find out what happens to Ruy. Even more so since he seems to have turned against King in season two. People in Zamora, Castile, Galicia and Leon may be unable to achieve peace as long as their warring siblings refuse to put down their swords.

El Cid Season 3 Plot: What Can It Be About?

Even though King Fernando is no more, there are significant changes in the balance of power in the second season. His three sons, Sancho, Alfonso, and Garcia, ruled Castilla, León, and Galicia, respectively, after his death in 1491. It’s safe to say that Urraca, as the Lady of Zamora, hasn’t given up on her ambition for political influence. Each of Fernando’s children wants to rule the Iberian Peninsula, and Queen Sancha can do nothing to stop it. Ruy’s loyalty is put to the test yet again as he is forced to choose between two conflicting interests.

We’ll see what happens to Ruy if there’s a third season, given that he appeared to be turning against his King in the season 2 finale. Zamora, Castilla, Galicia, and León’s residents may be out of luck when it comes to finding peace because their warring siblings do not appear ready to put their differences aside.
