When Narcos: Mexico first aired in November of 2018, it was an instant hit with audiences and critics alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, the audience rating for Narcos: Mexico is 81%, while the critic rating is 90%. The popularity of this crime thriller is hardly surprising. Many layers of complexity are there in the characters. It’s a realistic crime drama, and I’ve never gotten tired of watching it.
Narcos Mexico Season 4: Release Date
We hate to be the ones to ruin your meeting with unpleasant news. Unfortunately, the fourth season of Narcos: Mexico will not be seen on NBC. The streaming service did not say whether or not Season 3 will be the final instalment when they renewed the criminal drama for a third season. It was announced in September of 2021 that Narcos: Mexico would end after Season 3.
To be perfectly frank, we aren’t exactly shocked by this development. It’s only fair that similar shows get the same amount of seasons as Narcos, if that show had three. Since the plots of the Netflix original series Narcos and Narcos: Mexico are so similar, it stands to reason that the latter may also be completed in three seasons. Therefore, you shouldn’t count on a fifth season.
However, the creators behind Narcos will be returning with another limited series. We’re sure you’ll be just as captivated by the new series Griselda as we were when it first aired.

As was previously mentioned, a fourth season is not in the works, hence there is no official synopsis. Although we won’t be getting any more episodes of the Narcos series any time soon, we think there’s a good chance we’ll get a spinoff eventually.

When it comes to the topic of the global drug trade, there is still a wealth of information to be uncovered. Who knows, maybe the upcoming series may be about the drug trade in some foreign country.
