Bridgerton Season 2: Release Date Status, Time, Trailer and All Update!

For those who haven’t seen the last of the Bridgertons, they’re back!

It’s time for Regé-Jean Page’s Dishy Duke of Hastings to make way for Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), the oldest Bridgerton brother and dashing bachelor, in this season’s take on Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton novel series, which follows a similar formula.

Anthony’s search for a marriage introduces some fascinating new characters to the Bridgerton group in season 2: especially the Sharma sisters, Kate and Edwina (Charithra Chandran).

It all begins when Kate (her sister’s protector against suitors) tries to stop Edwina from dating Anthony because she believes he is nothing but a rake. She and the bachelor get into a verbal duel, which ends up bringing them closer together.

It was recently revealed that Season 2 would address Anthony’s character journey, stating that the upcoming episode will explore why Anthony exhibits such “toxic” behaviors.

The author told RadioTimes.com that he finds it “fascinating to delve beneath the Heathcliff and Darcy personas and understand why romantic male figures are so cruel and toxic towards women.”
