Black Summoner Season 2 Release Date and We Know Far So About!

The Black Summoner series was created by Doufu Mayoi and illustrated by Kurogin, two well-known names in the Japanese light novel industry. In October of 2014, it made its online debut on the novel publishing platform Shsetsuka ni Nar. Satelight’s anime adaptation of the show, which debuted on July 9, 2022, is one of the most talked-about programs in the area.

Now that we’ve finished the first season and are enjoying it so much, we’ve decided to share what we know about a possible second season of Black Summoner.

Black Summoner Season 2 Release Date

On October 6, 2014, Doufu Mayoi’s series began appearing in Shsetsuka ni Nar. Later, on June 25, 2016, Overlap announced they had bought the series and would be releasing it under their Overlap Bunko banner with drawings by Kurogane. To date, seventeen books have been released. J-Novel Club will begin publishing the novels in English after obtaining a license to do so in July 2020.

On January 11, 2018, Gin Ammo’s manga version of the story began publishing in Comic Gardo. Thirteen tanks on volumes has been published so far, collecting the different chapters. The manga is also being published in English by J-Novel Club.

Black Summoner’s future is cloudy for obvious reasons, but not for lack of enthusiasm or inspiration. We can only speculate on the series’ future success based on the continued success of the manga adaptation of the show. Regardless, we might not see a second season until 2024 at the earliest, but we should hear something concrete about the future around 2022 or 2023.

Black Summoner Season 2 Plot

The potential number of manga chapters that could be adapted into the second season of Black Summoner means that its prospective direction is now unknown. Specifically, we have no idea how far the second season might go, if it ever happens, due to a lack of information in general and the fact that the first season is still not over. The plot synopsis for the show is provided below.

Because of God’s oversight, young Kelvin dies and accepts reincarnation on a new planet with the skills he chooses, but he retains no identifying information other than his name. Upon reawakening in the new world, he learns that he made the conscious decision to become a Summoner wizard and that Melfina, the Goddess of Reincarnation, is now his servant in the guise of an in-game menu.

After arriving in Parth, he joins the Adventurer’s Guild under the guise of a common wizard, hiding his summoner talent after hearing Melfina say that kings would wage war to capture him because of his rarity and potency. He goes on an adventure to eliminate slime creatures, and when he captures one, he gives it the name Clotho, which not only gives it a character of its own but also makes it seem more human.

Melfina tells him he was the most powerful Summoner in existence before he was resurrected, and as he is currently just Rank 1, he will grow even more so as his Rank increases. Clotho, one of his summons, receives a massive boost in power from his ability.

When he gets back to Parth, he takes lodging for the night despite being upset to learn that slavery is widespread in this realm. Kelvin swiftly advances to E-rank, and the D-rank adventurer Cashel, intent on embarrassing Kelvin, gives him the advice to track down the knight Darkghost. When Kelvin uses Assess on Cashel, he discovers that Cashel is an Assassin, therefore instead of joining him, Kelvin challenges Cashel and his crew to a contest.

Cashel plots Kelvin’s murder with his gang members Gimul and Raj. Raj is grabbed by Kelvin, while Gimul is taken by Clotho (now a Gluttonous Slime, an almost legendary Demon King class monster). Cashel is quickly defeated by Kelvin, and the two of them are jailed after Cashel admits to chasing low-level adventurers for the experience.

Black Summoner Season 2 Cast

Since we have no idea if there will be a second season of Black Summoner, it would be premature to talk about the cast or characters in that show at this time. However, given that the series’ cast is very well set in stone, we don’t anticipate major changes to the format of season two, whenever that may be. The following are the main characters from the first season that will probably return for the second:
