For the fourth installment of the “Riddick” series, “Riddick: Furya,” Vin Diesel is expected to come back. David Twohy, who first worked with Diesel on 2000’s “Pitch Black,” and who continued the popular sci-fi series with two sequels, “The Chronicles of Riddick” and “Riddick,” are responsible for writing and directing the new movie.
Samantha Vincent will also produce the upcoming movie under Diesel’s One Race Films company, along with Diesel, who will star in it. At the EFM in Berlin the following week, Rocket Science and CAA Media Finance will introduce international sales.

The official synopsis of the movie claims that in “Furya,” Riddick finally makes it back to his homeworld, one he hardly recalls and one he worries the Necromongers might have destroyed. But he discovers that other Furyans are engaged in a struggle for survival with a brand-new foe. And more than he could have ever dreamed, some of these Furyans like Riddick.
In a statement introducing the project, Twohy stated, “Our legion of fans have been clamoring for it for years, and we’re finally ready to honor their call-to-action with ‘Riddick: Furya.'”
Twenty fruitful years of working with Vin and One Race have produced three films, two computer games, an anime, and motion comics for the internet. Returning to Riddick’s homeworld will allow us to examine Riddick’s origins in this new big-screen event finally.
Diesel has had a Riddick-ulously busy few days. On Thursday night, he had a lavish launch party in downtown Los Angeles to unveil the trailer for “Fast X,” the newest “Fast and Furious” movie.

The roughly four-minute teaser gained more than 5 million views in only nine hours after it was posted online early on Friday morning. On May 19, the movie opens in theatres, two weeks after “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” in which Diesel plays Groot again. Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson McGinnis Ryan, Linden Entertainment, and CAA are Diesel’s agents. Atlas Artists is Twohy’s agent.
