The School For Good And Evil 2 Possible Release Date

The School For Good And Evil 2: Not even Netflix has confirmed a sequel to The School for Good and Evil, but the original film’s success has raised expectations for a follow-up.

The School for Good and Evil, which received negative reviews, opened at the top of the box office on its first weekend. Soman Chainani’s books inspire this film, so it’s no wonder that director Paul Feig is looking ahead.

“We want this to be a franchise,” he told EW. “The aim moving ahead is to do just that, compile all the information from these books, and maybe turn it into a series. The story and its inhabitants have captured our hearts. Extremely entertaining and information-packed, the books are excellent.”

So it’s not surprising that the first film finishes with a teaser for a second installment. We don’t know if that will occur just yet, but as is always the case with Netflix movies, early viewership numbers are essential.

The School for Good and Evil 2 Potential Release Date

Since Netflix has not yet confirmed production on The School for Good and Evil 2, there is currently no set release date.

Since at least two years usually pass between Netflix films, it’s possible that, assuming a sequel is indeed in the works, we won’t be able to revisit the school until October 2024.

The first film will be shot between April and July of 2021, with a Netflix debut set for October 19 of that year. Production will probably need to begin sometime in 2020 if it is to be completed by October 2024, the earliest possible release date.

The School For Good And Evil 2 Cast:

No formal cast announcements have been made since the sequel has not been confirmed. However, we anticipate the return of Sophia Anne Caruso and Sofia Wylie in their respective roles as Sophie and Agatha. Agatha’s fiance Tedros, played by Jamie Flatters, should also return.

It’s expected that many supporting characters will be returned too, including Charlize Theron as Lady Lesso, Kerry Washington as Professor Clarissa Dovey, Michelle Yeoh as Professor Emma Anemone, and Cate Blanchett as the voice of the Storia.

Even though Laurence Fishburne plays the character, the School Master died at the end of the first film, and he returns in the second book (spoiler alert!) in this fantasy series.

The School For Good And Evil Ending:

Even though the first film diverges from the source material in critical respects, it nevertheless has the exact resolution. After the jump, you’ll find spoilers.

School for Good and Evil cast members Sofa Wylie as Agatha, Michelle Yeoh as Professor Anemone, and Kerry Washington as Professor Dovey.

After the School Master’s true nature is revealed, he tries to kill Agatha, and Sophie gives her life to protect her. While a teacher murders the School Master in the book, Sophie does it in the film adaptation.

Sophie passes away, but a kiss from Agatha proves to be the kiss of genuine love, reviving her. Although Tedros had hoped that Agatha would remain at the academy with him, she and Sophie were permitted to return to Gavaldon.

After Tedros’s arrow passes through the opening between Gavaldon and the fairytale realm, the School Master’s dagger appears, though it is unclear whether or not the Master has returned to life.
