A television anime adaptation of Aka Akasaka’s manga with the same title will debut in the year 2023. Even while we don’t know when exactly Oshi no Ko will premiere, we do know that the first episode will be longer than usual, clocking in at roughly 90 minutes.
Studio Doga Kobo is responsible for creating the anime. They’ve contributed to a vast library of works, including fan favourites like Berserk, Death Note, and My Hero Academia. It will be directed by Daisuke Hiramaki. His resume is wide, including producing and animation work for shows like IDOLM@STER and Naruto Shippuden.

What Do We know Aout Oshi No Ko So Far?
There isn’t much out there about the show yet, but it looks like they’re gearing up to make some major announcements in the next few months.
They have revealed a few significant images and pieces of information so far, but one of the biggest surprises was the unveiling of the cast. Cast as Ai, one of Oshi no Ko’s key characters, is Rie Takahashi, who has been in shows like Rent-A-Girlfriend and Classroom of the Elite. She appears to be the sole confirmed cast member thus far.
At the “Kaguya-sama wants to tell you” festival in Akihabara on October 29 and 30, 2022, there will be an exhibition for Oshi no Ko. There will supposedly be a picture op with some sort of visuals there.
Oshi no Ko will have its own event with cast member Rie Takahashi not long after, on December 11, 2022. The website suggests that new information, such a delivery date or window, might be announced at the event.
Considering that in March 2023, this comic was voted into the top ten list of manga people wish to see given an anime adaptation, you can understand why this anime is getting so many events.
What Will Oshi No Ko Be About?
It’s natural to be curious in the plot of the anime based on Oshi no Ko if you’ve never heard of it before.
The series follows Dr. Goro Amemiya as he attends to the pregnancies and births of the children of Ai Hoshino, a famous pop star. For a follower of the hero himself, this is fantastic news. Tragically, Ai’s stalker kills him before he can give birth to his children.
Nonetheless, Goro is not destroyed; rather, he is reborn as one of Ai’s offspring, complete with his previous memories. The other kid is actually a reincarnation of one of his patients, Sarina Tenjouji, which is an even weirder coincidence.
After their mother’s death, Goro assumes a new identity as Aquamarine Hoshino and sets out to kill the stalker, while his sister Ruby (formerly Sarina) pursues her childhood ambition of becoming a famous singer. Now he must keep his sister safe while also seeking revenge on the man who killed his parents. It’s already complicated enough that he thinks the stalker might be his own father.
