OnePlus 10T announced with up to 150W fast charging and $649 starting price

Recap of the Oneplus 10t Launch Event: Release Date Status, Price, Features, Etc.

The OnePlus 10T has been unveiled after a series of teases and feature announcements. OnePlus unveiled a less-priced version of its flagship phone that focuses on performance in its follow-up to the OnePlus 10 Pro.

You may check out our entire review of the OnePlus 10T to learn more about its merits and faults. However, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 engine and a redesigned cooling system could make the OnePlus 10T more appealing to gamers than other top Android phones.

One of the most appealing aspects of the new OnePlus 10T is that it costs $649/£629/€699. The OnePlus 10T will begin shipping in Europe on August 25, with the rest of the world following suit later in the month. The OnePlus 10T will launch on sale in the United States on September 29, and preorders will begin on September 1.

OxygenOS 13, OnePlus’s Android-based phone operating system, was also shown off during the presentation of the OnePlus 10T. OxygenOS 13 has Android 13 features and a water-inspired user interface. The OnePlus 10 Pro will be the first to get it.

For those who missed the live launch of the OnePlus 10T, we’ve included an embedded video of the event. OnePlus 10T features were announced in real time on our live blog.

  • Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset
  • 150W charging (though North American users will have charging capped at 120W)
  • A new cooling system designed to maintain performance during long gaming sessions
  • Three rear cameras, though no telephoto lens

After a long wait, we now have the OnePlus 10T price. In comparison to the OnePlus 10 Pro’s initial price of $749, the OnePlus 10T is $250 less expensive. You’ll be getting the 8GB/128GB model. 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM are available for $749.

OnePlus 10T pricing in Europe starts at €699, while the price in the United Kingdom is £629.

The OnePlus 10T will launch on sale in Europe on August 25th. Pre-orders in the United States will begin on September 1 and the phone will go on sale on September 29.

Anamorphic design, a smart launcher, and new always-on display layouts are just some of the new features in OxygenOS 13. There are many similarities to what Google is adding to Android 13 in this release.

As a side note, the OxygenOS name is apt because this segment has lasted so long that I feel like the room has been depleted of oxygen.

As OxygenOS 13 is based on Android 13, I’d expect the new version of OxygenOS to be released at the same time as the Android 13 software update.

To complement its 50MP wide-angle camera and 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, which has a 120° field of view, OnePlus included dual cameras on the 10T. A 2MP macro sensor is also included on the phone’s rear.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has a telephoto lens, but this one doesn’t.

If you were wondering where OnePlus is focusing its attention with this phone’s camera, the presentation was short and to the point.

The 6.7-inch panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, so it’s time to talk about that. Even though it’s not an LTPO screen, you won’t observe a decrease in refresh rate like on the OnePlus 10 Pro, you can still alter the refresh rate between 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz.

The OnePlus 10T also has a Battery Health Engine, which is designed to increase the battery’s lifespan. It can charge even in subzero temperatures, which is a nice feature. Battery degradation should be kept to a minimum over several years, according to OnePlus.

OnePlus believes its new 3D Cooling technology will help combat the problem of the excessive heat generated by high-performing devices.

OnePlus claims that the cooling area of the 10T is 64% greater than that of the OnePlus 10 Pro, thanks to the inclusion of a new vapor cooling system. This means that the OnePlus 10T’s cooling mechanism has been tuned to handle heat dissipation quickly. The OnePlus 10T stays several degrees cooler than the competition’s flagship phones after an hour of gaming.

The OnePlus 10T is finally here, after a lot of preambles. Chris Patrick, a Qualcomm executive, is on hand to talk about the company’s partnership with OnePlus. There are two versions of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, one of which is used in the 10T.

With 10 percent more CPU power and 30 percent, more graphics power than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 is the most powerful processor on the market today. In other words, we’re seeing a lot of attention paid to how well the 10T performs.

Because OnePlus isn’t afraid to talk about new phones, even ones whose launch event is less than an hour away, you can learn a lot about the OnePlus 10T before it’s officially released. On the OnePlus website, the launch event page (which opens in a new tab) is full of features, many of which we’ve already discussed.

The cooling system of the phone is the only one we haven’t talked about yet. The OnePlus 10T’s “3D Cooling System 2.0” is mentioned on the company’s website, and how much it will benefit mobile gaming. Gamers will appreciate the ability to prevent their phones from overheating, as this can lead to a reduction in performance. OnePlus may be positioning the 10T as a gaming phone, or at the very least as a phone designed with gamers in mind.

The price of the OnePlus 10T is a major concern ahead of today’s announcement, especially in light of the current state of the economy and the consequent rise in consumer prices. It’s worth noting that the OnePlus 10 Pro was released with an $899 price tag, which is less expensive than other flagships, but still expensive for OnePlus products.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset is expected to make the 10T a better phone, but without Hasselblad branding for its cameras, it may be less expensive than OnePlus’s 10 Pro. We’d love to see a phone that’s no more expensive than the OnePlus 1 from earlier this year.

OnePlus has revealed that the OnePlus 10T will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 found in the OnePlus 10 Pro and the Galaxy S22 series has been superseded by this new chip. It’s also better at power management than Qualcomm’s older silicon, not that the long-lasting OnePlus 10 Pro had a battery life issue in our testing.

OnePlus 10T announced with up to 150W fast charging and $649 starting price

The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro and the Zenfone 9 are both powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. If you’d want to have a sense of what to expect from the OnePlus 10T, both received outstanding grades for performance.

It’s worth paying attention to any battery and charging details that OnePlus announces for the new device at today’s OnePlus 10T launch — and not only because OnePlus hasn’t published that information in advance of the event. — The power management capabilities of OnePlus are always interesting.

The OnePlus 10T is expected to keep the same 5,000 mAh battery as the OnePlus 10 Pro. After all, why fix what isn’t broken? With its adaptive display function enabled, the 10 Pro lasted for 11 hours, and 52 minutes in our battery test. The OnePlus 10 is one of the top battery-life phones we track, even though it has an adaptive display.

In terms of charging speed, keep in mind that the OnePlus 10 Pro utilized 80W charging, but users in the United States had to make do with a 65W charger because the feature did not fulfill U.S. charging requirements. This is something we’ll be watching to see if it continues with the new phone.
