Noragami Plot

Hiyori Iki used to be a typical middle schooler until she got into a bus accident while trying to save a stranger. As a result of what happened, she experiences frequent instances of her soul leaving her body, and she comes to understand that there are two parallel worlds, the Near Shore and the Far Shore. The Near Shore is home to regular humans and creatures, while the Far Shore is inhabited by ghosts and other demonic beasts. Yato, the odd god without a shrine, communicates with her through her spirit.

To gain notoriety, Yato is willing to grant any desire in exchange for five yen coins, including Hiyori’s request that her body is repaired. They go on many adventures together while grappling with issues of friendship, identity, and the past, and they do so with the help of Yato’s Regalia, a sword made from the soul of a human sacrifice and given that name by the god in question.
