Aew Fight Forever: Roster, Match Types, Platforms & Everything We Need to Know !

Fight Forever, the first All Elite Wrestling (AEW) title, is presently under development, and while it is still a ways off, we already have an idea of what to expect. We have compiled all the information we have at this time.

The paradigm shift in professional wrestling has now been fully implemented. To compete with WWE 2K22, and only a few years after the company’s debut on television, AEW is preparing a full-fledged multi-platform game. Additionally, AEW Fight Forever will be developed by renowned wrestling video game developer, Yukes.

Even if Fight Forever is still in the works, wrestling fans have a lot to look forward to. Every aspect of WWE’s largest opponent has been covered, including match formats, rosters, and gameplay.

New Game Officially Titled Fight Forever

AEW Rampage owner Tony Khan announced to a raucous Pittsburgh audience after the April 2022 concert that the AEW game’s moniker would be “AEW Fight Forever.”

A Live Streamed and tweeted its moniker on May 4, 2022; it was fully unveiled at that time.

Does New Fight Forever Have a Release Date?

According to reports from Fightful Select, the game will be released in 2022, with September being the current target date for its release.

When asked about the state of the game in April, AEW Executive Vice President and wrestler Kenny Omega said, “I’m hoping” it stays on schedule for “this year” – which is code for the year 2022.

Since its initial unveiling at the tail end of 2020, we’ve heard virtually nothing about the project’s current state or progress. As a result, it’s impossible to say how far advanced it is currently. Early access with a small starting lineup could be available in 2022.

AEW Fight Forever: Platforms

It will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC. There’s no word yet on whether or not the game will come to the Nintendo Switch.

A Wrestling Observer Radio interview with AEW has stated that cross-platform gameplay would be implemented.

Gameplay Details

AEW will not attempt to “match with the production values of WWE’s games,” according to Kenny Omega. AEW Fight Forever, on the other hand, promises to bring back the wrestling game’s old style. Wrestling should “feel as it did before,” he stated.

This player titled his last move after the Final Fantasy 7 series. AEW Fight Forever may be influenced by his love of arcade fighting games like Street Fighter, but we’ll have to wait and see.

There isn’t much information available about the game modes just yet. When it comes to game modes like “General Manager,” “Multiplayer,” and “Ranking System,” we have yet to hear anything about them.

However, according to Fightful Select, a story/career mode is in the works. AEW’s Mikey Rukus may have already composed some original music for this plot arc, which is said to involve contributions from several wrestlers.

AEW Fight Forever: Match Types

Although Kenny Omega has said: “We have a lot of match types,” without getting into specifics, no official match types have been announced for the AEW console game.

In AEW Fight Forever, we expect to see the following match types announced, but there are likely to be many more.

  • Singles match
  • Intergender singles match

AEW Fight Forever: Roster

In the future, we expect to see a lot more of these. The AEW roster might become even larger if they buy out Ring of Honor’s previous rival (ROH).

As several ROH wrestlers have already been on AEW’s television broadcasts, this could lead to ROH wrestlers appearing in Fight Forever. AEW has several ROH champions on its roster, and this is likely to influence future material, like roster revisions and DLC.

The game’s creators, on the other hand, have stated that it will launch with 50 wrestlers.

AEW Dynamite and Rampage are likely to be the only main roster performers in the game at launch, but more could be included through DLC expansions.

For now, we have no further information to go on with regards to the impending AEW console game Check out our other wrestling pages at Dexerto for more content:
