Firefly Lane Season 2: What Did Tully Do That Kate Could Not Forgive?

In 2021, on February 3rd, Netflix premiered the first season of the American drama series Firefly Lane. The series, developed by Maggie Friedman and adapted from Kristin Hannah’s novel of the same name, follows two girls from their teenage years in the 1970s through their early adult years in the early 2000s.

Peter O’Fallon, Stephanie Germain, Katherine Heigl, Shawn Williamson, and Lee Rose are also executive producers, in addition to Friedman. The show was renewed for a second season in May of 2021, and it will return in 2022.

While unwinding by the fire pit towards the end of the first season, Tully announces that she is leaving her show and assures Kate that she will find work as soon as she is employed again. The two were later spotted sharing a touching moment during a funeral, during which Kate told Tully that she didn’t want to see her again.

As a result, viewers may anticipate that Kate’s motivation for making such a critical remark to her closest friend Tully, and what happens next between them, will be explored in season two.

It was never made clear who Tully was paying her respects to at the season 1 funeral, but she was likely a close friend or family member of Kate’s. Kate’s father/ex-husband Johnny will be arriving from Iraq shortly. The second season may also reveal whether or not Tully offers Kate the job.
