The Show Has Officially Been Renewed for Season 6
In June, Netflix announced that it will be renewing the reality show, which chronicles the daily activities and drama of the Oppenheim Group, for two additional seasons.
The Release Date Isn’t Announced Yet, but We Might Have a Long Wait
If we look at the release dates of the previous seasons, we can get a good idea of when Season 6 will be available.
Both Season 2 and Season 3 of “Selling Sunset” premiered that summer of 2020. Both the fourth and fifth seasons of “Selling Sunset” were shot simultaneously and premiered in quick succession (November 2021 and April 2022).

In that case, we may have to wait until 2023 for the next batch of “Selling Sunset.”
Based on the Finale, Christine Quinn Might Leave the Oppenheim Group After Sabotage Claims
Given the events of the Season 5 finale, Christine Quinn’s future with the Oppenheim Group is uncertain. According to real estate agent Emma Hernan, one of her customers was approached by Quinn, who allegedly offered him money to deal with her instead of Hernan. She is out to undermine you in every way she can, the client reportedly informed Hernan.
Oppenheim claims he is trying to create a “safe work environment” for Hernan. I’d be lying if I claimed I wasn’t afraid of what she can do, Hernan admits.
Hernan’s charges prompt a debriefing between Oppenheim and Mary Fitzgerald. She could have been extremely successful in real estate if she had focused on that instead of drama and vengeance. That’s the part that drives me crazy,” Oppenheim added.
Quinn is called in by Fitzgerald and Oppenheim to “explain her stance,” but Oppenheim believes she has already “stepped the line.”
Christine denies any intention of sabotaging Emma in an on-camera interview, but she also declines to meet with her superiors to discuss the matter. I don’t believe I need to talk to Mommy and Daddy… um, Jason and Mary… about this.
As it is, Oppenheim looks to be considering dismissing Quinn. I can wish the best for someone and care for them, he argues, but they don’t have to be sitting next to me at my desk.
Is this the end for Christine, as Fitzgerald wonders? The question is not answered by Oppenheim. That left you on a cliff, to say the least.
The Rest of the Cast Might Change Up, Too
The conclusion and subsequent events have thrown the O Group into disarray.
The show’s Maya Vander has opted to quit.
And what about the other brokers? Chrishell Stause has expressed concern that she may be unable to continue working for Oppenheim in light of her recent breakup with the company. But as of a February 2022 episode of “Watch What Happens Life,” Stause is still employed by the Oppenheim Group.

After Nicholas Hardy (also known as Tom Fraud) gave Vanessa Villela a promise ring, she left Los Angeles and moved to London to be with him. In January of 2022, they became engaged.
Davina Potratz tells Vanessa that she should “follow (her) heart” and go to London to be with Hardy. Later, after learning that Oppenheim mentioned firing an agent to make way for Lazkani, Potratz says the switch could work in her favor. “From the way Vanessa has been talking about it, I can tell that she is planning to… relocate to England. And, you know, it’s not that terrible for me,” Davina says.
Agent Chelsea Lazkani is likely to return to the Oppenheim Group, where she recently secured a desk.
The series conclusion showed the wedding of Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa. Whether or not she will come back is unknown.
There Are Two New Cast Members
The cast for seasons six and seven reportedly includes Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi.

According to an interview with People, Young, a longtime member of the Oppenheim Group, revealed that she had been approached to join the cast for Season One but ultimately decided not to.
