Drifters Season 2 Anime: How Many Seasons Does Drifters Anime Have?

The manga Drifters by Kouta Hirano is the basis for an anime series with the same name. As soon as Drifters was released in 2016, it became a huge hit. It’s packed to the gills with action and has a huge MAL fanbase (My Anime List). The worldwide sales of Drifters topped 1.5 million.

The fact that the animation made it into the Manga Taishi award nominees not once, but twice, is indicative of its high quality. There’s a tonne of intense action here, as the protagonists are always engaged in a struggle to keep the world safe.

Drifters Season 2 Release Date: When Can We Expect It?

Season one premiered on October 7, 2016, and here we are in the year 2022. People have been waiting for a very long time. But have no fear; the final episode of the first season ended with the words “To be continued.” They didn’t say when exactly, but they did say, “See you again in 20XX.” As a result, supporters are left wondering whether or not XX will take place this year. However, we do not expect this to happen anytime soon because of COVID-19.

We anticipate the second season to premiere in 2022. The creators are being extremely secretive and are not providing any details at this time. The first season contained 12 episodes, so we’re shooting for at least double that this time around. The fans have waited long enough, and they should get nothing less.

Season one of the anime began airing on October 7, 2016, and concluded on December 23, 2016. The second season was renewed after the first one ended. It’s been over five years since then, and nothing has changed.

Drifters Season 2 Cast: Who Can Be In It?

The characters have a captivating quality. Several of the Drifters’ characters have been drawn from Japanese mythology and history. Samurai Shimazu Toyohisa, a valiant member of the Shimazu clan, was killed in the bloody Battle of Sekigahara. Yoichi, a valiant samurai from the Yashika battle, is a formidable opponent who can single-handedly dispatch a large number of foes.

As you can see, then, anime is even more awesome because it frequently features real-life legends. As with the first season, the show will be made available in English on Hulu, Funimation, and Amazon Prime. Of course, the original language is Japanese, therefore that’s the one that’ll be used for the voice acting.

Drifters Season 2 Plot: What Will Happen?

Those who enjoy isekai will enjoy this show very much. During the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, Toyohisa Shimazu was severely injured. And in an instant, he finds himself in a white, door-lined corridor. Then one of the doors dragged him in, and his fate was sealed. In an instant, he found himself in a parallel universe teeming with fantastical beings unlike any he had ever encountered before, including dragons, elves, hobbits, and more.

Toyohisa’s world’s great warriors, who were thought to have perished together, were actually still alive and well when they were summoned there, where they were given the collective noun Drifters. It’s a group of people brought together by an unknown figure to fight the bad guys who want to destroy their world.

The villains are called “the Ends,” which is a perfect name. As the power of the Ends grows, the fate of the demihumans rests in the hands of our unusual heroes. We are completely stoked for season two, in which the tale will certainly progress and the conflict will presumably heat up.
