Kodansha revealed on Wednesday that the television anime adaptation of Sai Sumimori’s Am I Actually the Strongest? (Jitsu wa Ore, Saiky deshita?) novel series will air in 2023. Kodansha has released a teaser image for the anime, but no more details have been disclosed.
Manga artist Ai Takahashi has adapted the novels into a digital series that is being published in English by Kodansha Comics.

In September 2018, Sumimori began serialising the narrative on the website Shsetsuka ni Nar, where it is still being updated regularly. Kodansha released the first print novel volume in May 2019, illustrated by Ai Takahashi, and the fifth print novel volume in October 2021.

In April of 2019, Takahashi debuted the manga on the Nico Nico Seiga website, in the Suiybi no Sirius section published by Kodansha. The seventh collected volume of the manga will be released by Kodansha on Thursday. In digital form, Kodansha Comics released volume six on April 19.
