When Does Street Fighter 6 Come Out? The Countdown Begins

Street Fighter V may be one of the most complete fighting games currently available, but fans will undoubtedly be anticipating Street Fighter 6, the next installment. After all, the game was released in early 2016, and while seasonal content has added numerous characters, the time has come for something new. A recent leak has revealed a great deal about a new Street Fighter game, so here’s everything you need to know about Street Fighter 6. Now that we know the game is real, we’re just waiting for more information about what to expect. Let’s find out When Street Fighter 6 Come Out.

When Does Street Fighter 6 Come Out?

The release date for Street Fighter 6 is June 2, 2023. That’s the current Capcom line, so there’s still time to go. After it was confirmed that the Capcom Cup 2020 champion would not automatically qualify for the 2021 competition, many expected the game to be released in 2021. This was somewhat thwarted by Capcom leaker Dusk Golem (see below).

Later tweets indicated that Capcom’s corporate officer, Midori Yuasa, is now in charge of the project, succeeding producer Yoshinori Ono. IGN confirmed the leaks, revealing a release date for Street Fighter 6 in Q3 2022, followed by a Super Street Fighter 6 version in Q4 2023.

Finally, an Ultra Street Fighter 6 version will be released in the fourth quarter of 2024. While sources confirmed that the game is in development, IGN cautions that this timeline may be outdated. Given the most recent release date information, those leaks appear inaccurate.

Street Fighter 6 Beta Prediction

The first Street Fighter 6 beta ran from October 7 to 10, and the second from December 16 to 19. Ken was the most recent addition to the roster of only eight characters. The most significant change in the second beta is the ability to reduce input delay for players using 120Hz displays, though Capcom claims that this option should also affect people using 60Hz displays. Aside from that, the stage and roster selection remains unchanged.

We fully anticipate another beta phase before the game’s June release, so stay tuned as Capcom may announce the dates for a third beta in the coming weeks. There are rumors that a new Street Fighter 6 beta will be announced soon, most likely during the Street Fighter 6 showcase on April 20. We fully expect the beta to include a few new characters like Cammy, Manon, and Zangief, though the entire cast is unlikely to be playable. The Beta Mode for Street Fighter 6 Is Over Now. There is another game Xdefiant Which is giving Rewards for its beta program.

Street Fighter 6 Showcase

Capcom has announced a Street Fighter 6 Showcase on YouTube on April 20 at 3 pm PT/6 pm ET/11 pm GMT. The showcase is expected to last about 30 minutes and will be hosted by none other than Lil Wayne, aka Young Tunechi, aka Weezy. The video in the reveal tweet revealed a number of alternate costumes for some of the characters, including a new Kimberly outfit.

The Cast Of Street Fighter 6

Capcom revealed the entire Street Fighter 6 cast at TGS 2022, in case you missed it. Visit our Street Fighter 6 roster guide to find out which characters have been confirmed.

The characters of Zangief, Cammy, and newcomer Lily were recently revealed in a gameplay trailer at Sony’s State of Play. To see these characters in action, watch the trailer above.

World Tour Mode In Street Fighter 6

The Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer debuted in early June, showing off various Metro City locations such as Abigail’s Scrap Yard, the underground subway system, and a local fighter-filled gym. World Tour mode allows players to explore Metro City like an open-world game. Players begin their journey at Buckler Security with your coach, Luke, who enrolls them in an introductory training course. We also know that players can use the Battle Hub to customize the hooded character featured prominently in the trailer.

The main character appears to get into a fight with a stranger at the end of the World Tour segment in the first trailer, switching the perspective to the traditional battle view. The stranger also appears to be a custom character, as they lack any of the typical flourishes of a real character. Capcom claims that the World Tour mode will defy genre classifications, which could mean we’ll see some side-scrolling beat ’em-up action for the first time in the Street Fighter series.
