The Walking Dead season 8 Potential Release Date

In more recent years, seasons have been broken up into two halves.

Since then, Part 1 has always premiered in the fall, with Part 2 following in the spring. Thus, if the current trend in production continues, season eight will most likely follow the same format.

Season 8 will most likely premiere in the fall of 2022, and Part 2 will follow in the spring of 2023.

The Walking Dead season 8 Cast: Who Will Be In It?

Alycia Debnam-Carey, who has played Alicia on Fear the Walking Dead since the show’s premiere in 2015, left the cast in the seventh season’s penultimate episode.

Alicia spent a good portion of the episode battling a fever that she thought resulted from the infection from her amputated bite.

However, by the end of the episode, she had fully recovered, made peace with Victor (Colman Domingo), and embarked on a new mission.

Debnam-Carey confirmed in an Instagram post that this was indeed her last episode, even though Alicia’s continued existence had given viewers a reason to hope for her eventual return.

The Walking Dead season 8 Plot: What Will Happen?

A seafood sign in Louisiana at the end of season seven confirmed that PADRE exists, though their precise location is still unknown.

The final minutes of the film show Morgan and (a seemingly living) Madison being taken towards a large boat at sea, suggesting that the PADRE base may be nearby.

Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the season seven finale will set up season eight for “one of the biggest reinventions [they’ve] ever done.”

According to Chambliss, “really be transferring the show to Savannah, Georgia, which is on the water” for season eight. The previous four seasons had taken place in Texas.

And we close the season with Morgan and Madison going out on a boat, so I think it’s safe to assume that season eight will have a different atmosphere than we’ve seen previously. It will, in many ways, be centered around the water,” he continued.
