Spider-Man 4: Although Sony and Marvel have confirmed that they are working on Spider-Man 4, we still don’t know when it will be released in theaters.
Marvel Studios did host a spectacular panel at Comic-Con, where Kevin Feige announced the release dates for the entirety of Phase Five and a few major Phase Six films. A new Spider-Man film, however, would never have been announced there, seeing as how the franchise is distributed by Sony.
Longtime Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal did hint at a new trilogy prior to the release of No Way Home. During the premiere in December 2021, however, she walked that statement back and said it was really just a wish.
Spider-Man 4 Release Date
The release date for Spider-Man 4 has not been set in stone, but it has been speculated that production has begun. Speculation is rampant, as is to be expected with anything Marvel-related. But until there’s official word, we’re not going to engage with the rumours.
Previous Spider-Man movies within the MCU have been separated by two years, but we anticipate a longer gap for the next film as 2023 has two Marvel films scheduled for release (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse on June 2 and Madame Web on October 6).

- Fire Country Episode 7 Release Date: How To Watch Fire Country Episode 7?
The June 7, 2024, Sony date that has inspired these rumours is for a Marvel project that has not yet been confirmed. It’s possible that this is Spider-Man 4, but if so, it would come out after Captain America: New World Order and before Thunderbolts. The number of movies here seems excessive, even for the MCU’s crowded film canon.
Spider-Man 4 Cast
Tom Holland has been reticent to discuss his plans for the future of Peter Parker, preferring to keep the spotlight on the upcoming third film.
Earlier reports had him saying: “Perhaps I should just start fresh somewhere else. I can’t ignore Peter Parker; he’s a big part of my life, and if I’m still playing Spider-Man when I’m 30, I must be doing something wrong.”
But he then elucidated on those quotations, saying: “I can’t predict where Spider-Man will go from here.
“No idea if I’ll be participating in it. I’ll never let go of Spider-Man, and I know [producer] Amy [Pascal] and the studio are eager to figure out where the character goes from here.
“If that’s with me, that’s great, but if it’s time for me to walk away, I’ll do it with pride,”
As of now, we can only speculate as to whether or not No Way Home will include any teasers about Holland taking on more of a mentor role for a new Spider-Man (perhaps Miles Morales).
Both Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who previously played MJ and Ned, are likely to reprise their roles. But the new film contains some shocking information that may change things.
Spider-Man 4 Plot
As was previously mentioned, by the film’s final frame, not even MJ and Ned are aware that Peter Parker is actually Spider-Man. However, Peter is far from retiring; he continues to conduct Spidey-related business around the globe.
This means that the fourth film can take any direction it wants, whether that’s Peter training up a new Spider-Man, a stand-alone adventure where he faces a new villain, or something else entirely.
“The movie we just finished shooting ends with Spider-Man making a life-altering choice, the likes of which audiences have never seen from him before. This is a price we must pay. Furthermore, this provides us with a wealth of material for our next movie “Pascal’s teasing comments to the New York Times.
Bringing the long-awaited showdown between Spider-Man and Venom to the big screen is one possibility. Eddie Brock and Venom appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the post-credits scene of Venom 2.
The spell Doctor Strange casts ends up going wrong, but he fixes it in the end so Eddie and Venom can return home. However, the Venom symbiote was not completely destroyed, leaving the door open for it to infect another member of the MCU.
Despite Tom Hardy’s popularity, we doubt the MCU will create its own version of Venom. If they really want to have a showdown, we figure they’ll come up with a way for Spider-Man or Venom to enter the other’s dimension.
Spider-Man 4 Trailer
Certainly not! It hasn’t even been confirmed, so you’ll have to settle for repeat viewings of No Way Home in the meantime.
