In the tenth episode of Sister Wives, Christine informs Kody and her sister’s wives that she is putting her apartment up for auction and moving out in a week. They talk about her potential move. That she seems more concerned with her loved ones than with the man in question is one of the things that drives Kody crazy. Also, that’s changed for her. He thinks she served everyone by joining the family, so he’s happy she’s peeling off the bandage and leaving.
Janelle is quiet and reserved, although she supports Christine’s choice to leave and is frustrated by Kody’s tyrannical lack of emotion. He says he’s disappointed that a contrite could reject him after all he’s done. Throughout the holiday dinner, Kody keeps checking in with Meri to see what she’s thinking. He knows she knows something, but she is coy about sharing it.

Christine eventually tells everyone (except Janelle) that she needs time apart to heal and space to go on. Anger rises in Kody. As for her other sisters, she paid them little attention. Before he leaves for work, he tells Christine. She didn’t seem to be getting any friendlier, so he started yelling at her. It’s hard to get a reaction out of her, either.
She tells him privately that they aren’t constantly arguing. That was something they’d been doing for a while. Kody walks away and starts walking toward the car. Christine receives a bear hug from Janelle. Kody is frustrated that she hasn’t yet demonstrated any romantic interest in him. Robyn finally asks Christine if she wants some alone time. To my surprise, she responds. With that, Meri and Robyn leave. They hold each other and cry in the street outside.
Although she is not particularly sad to be leaving, Christine admits that she is disappointed to be leaving such a mess behind. Kody will shortly pay a visit to Janelle in her RV. The next few months, she assures him, should be OK. His temper is flaring.
He doesn’t say much, but he understands that nothing can be built until the land is paid for. Robyn and Kody send their kids to traditional classroom education the next day. They realize this is their last chance to do it. They’re feeling down and dwelling on the past.
