Now, on June 16, 2023, The Pokemon Company made public the newest special addition for the Scarlet & Violet Trading Card Game (TCG) series. This expansion is centered on the 151 Pokemon who were originally a part of Generation 1. The following is a rundown of all that trainers need to know about the recently introduced special expansion.

Scarlet & Violet 151 Release Date
The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet: 151 is set to release on September 22, 2023. Obsidian Flames is scheduled to be released in the Western region on August 11, 2023, but enthusiasts of the Pokemon Trading Card Game are still waiting for it.
After the launch of Obsidian Flames, fans will not be able to get their hands on the 151 special expansion for a little bit longer than a month.

New Pokemon TCG 151 Cards
While the set’s exact contents are unknown at the time of writing, TPCi has provided fans with an indication of what to expect from this new Scarlet & Violet special addition.
This expansion will include more than 160 cards, according to The Pokemon Company’s official website. There will be 12 new ex cards, including Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise ex, as well as Mew ex.

As the name suggests, this special edition will include all of the original 151 Pokemon from the Kanto region’s Pokedex. This is significant since Kadabra will be appearing in the TCG for the first time in two decades.
The website confirmed that entire evolution chains would be finished by a single artist who will capture their distinct touch on particular Pokemon in the TCG graphics seen throughout the 151 expansion.
