The late-Friday update is Renner’s third since being admitted to the hospital. He was crushed by a snowplow on New Year’s Day close to his Nevada home, requiring two surgeries for acute chest damage and orthopedic problems. According to his spokesperson, the Marvel star removed snow from a private driveway when the incident happened.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam stated that Renner’s snowcat, an engine-powered snow removal vehicle, started to roll away while Renner was not in the driver’s seat.

Balaam said that he was hurt while attempting to re-enter the machine. When Renner was hurt, his family members were present.
