Marty Caffrey and Danielle Staub are no longer legally married following a protracted divorce process that lasted six months.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, who started dating in April 2016 and wed in May 2018 in a Bahamas beach ceremony broadcast on the Bravo program, formally ended their marriage on Thursday, according to PEOPLE, who saw both of them in court in Bergen County.
Both parties reached an uncontested split agreement during the hearing on Thursday, which got underway at 9 a.m. and lasted less than an hour. Unless she purchases the $2.15 million home (together with all of its furnishings), in which case Caffrey will go immediately, she will have to leave home by the end of April.
According to a representative for Staub, 56, the reality star is relieved that the difficult days are behind her now that her divorce is legally final.

According to Staub’s representative, Steve Honig, “Danielle is very much looking forward to moving on to the next chapter of her life and is excited to see what that will look like.” She immensely appreciates all the help she has gotten from her family, friends, and children.
On the other hand, Caffrey said in a statement to PEOPLE that he felt bittersweet. The businessman remarked, “Now that the divorce is final, I feel immense relief as well as grief.” “I’m relieved to have concluded the winding path I was carried down. With my loving and supportive family and friends by my side, I am eager to go on with my life. But Danielle and I did fall in love, and it’s heartbreaking to split up this way after sharing such a great moment.
In his statement, Caffrey added, “Looking back on our relationship, it is difficult to reconcile that the camera and the show were more important to her than her connection with me. “I do believe that the show caused our relationship to end.
I would advise any man thinking about dating a “real housewife” to think twice since it takes a particular kind of person to be so open about their personal lives without it leading to issues. For the last two seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, I have vigorously defended Danielle and supported her, and I have no regrets about doing so. I have no ill will against her and wish her well in anything she undertakes.
While much of Thursday’s sessions went without incident, Staub’s lawyer did ask to file a motion to hold Caffrey in contempt of court. He will have to come back for a different hearing if accepted. But at least now, the argumentative exchanges between the two are over after Caffrey filed for divorce in August.
Both received restraining orders against the other throughout that month. Their arguments continued even after they were eventually dropped, and in November, Caffrey listed their home without telling Staub. She then counterclaimed against Caffrey’s divorce petition in December, citing verbal and physical violence as the basis for her separation request. (Caffrey has refuted every one of Staub’s claims.)
A New Jersey judge recently granted Staub and her two children (Jillian, 20, and Christine, 24) a temporary 10-day restraining order against Caffrey for emotional abuse, leading police to remove him from their house.
Their RHONJ castmates suspected there would be trouble before the pair broke up. On the program, Staub claimed that Caffrey’s children “vile” her in front of their friends over dinner. In response to questions about Staub from Teresa Giudice’s brother Joe Gorga and Margaret Josephs’ husband, Joe Benigno, Caffrey said, “She’s a struggle. I enjoy a challenge.
Staub admitted to PEOPLE in October that she and Caffrey were never able to resolve their issues, but she was sure she would make it through the turmoil.
Staub declared, “Fiercely, I will push through this like a warrior.” “I’ll triumph over everything, just as I always have. I’ll always come to my senses. And I won’t alter who I am. Even if I spend the rest of my life alone, I’ll be content.
I try not to let things bother me, and I try to keep in mind that I have two girls who are looking up to me and who I need to set an example for, she continues. “Every day for me improves a little bit and becomes a little bit easier. I’m pleased with myself, too. I’ve made significant progress. If you want more information like this, visit our Digitalnewsexpert.com.
