Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty Expansion Could Go On Sale In June

The most recent teaser for the Phantom Liberty expansion was revealed in December 2022, featuring Idris Elba in a starring role in the upcoming DLC for the ever-improving Cyberpunk 2077. According to a claim made on the Polish show ‘Rock I Borys Podcast,’ the expansion will be released in June 2023.

There has been no mention of when Phantom Liberty will be released up to this point. In a massive update posted in 2022, CD Projekt revealed the state of play for its entire company, and in this update, it was stated that Phantom Liberty was in ‘the final stages of development,’ with a release date of ‘2023’.  Could the first and final Cyberpunk 2077 expansion be just a few weeks away?

Phantom Liberty is Coming; Phantom Liberty could be released as early as June 8th. While discussing the game’s future, ‘Boris’ stated that CDPR had invited him to attend the Summer Games Fest and that his sources within the company have confirmed the rumored release date for Phantom Liberty.

By all accounts, Cyberpunk’s Phantom Liberty expansion is a work of art. It’s no secret that it suffered greatly when Cyberpunk 2077 was released in 2020. It was riddled with bugs, glitches, and performance issues, and it received such negative press that lawsuits were filed.

It has now been updated to the point where it is unquestionably playable, entertaining, exciting, and innovative. There are high expectations for Phantom Liberty, the first and only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Then, according to CDPR’s roadmap, we’ll all move on to the sequel, which is currently in development. We’ll have to wait and see if Phantom Liberty gets a confirmed release date during Summer Games Fest.
