The 77-year-old actress, unhappy with “some individual” for “trying to speak on behalf of our family,” shared a message with PEOPLE on Friday that hinted at issue surrounding daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s trust.
“Elvis and I have a deep love for one other. Lisa is the fruit of our union, “Priscilla started speaking. Anyone who holds a different opinion is disrespecting Elvis’ legacy and the legacy of the family, according to the statement.
Priscilla then mentioned, “some individuals that purchased their way into the family enterprise that is trying to speak on behalf of our family,” without giving names.
“This individual does not speak for Elvis or our family. Please give us the time we need to resolve this together. “She concluded. “I beg you to disregard “the noise.” I will continue to pave the way forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity, and love, just as I have always done for the legacy of Elvis Presley, our family, and the fans.”

The managing partner of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Joel Weinshanker, recently appeared on Sirius XM’s Elvis Radio to discuss the star’s recent attempts to maintain co-trustee of Lisa Marie’s trust despite a 2016 amendment made by Lisa Marie that put daughter Riley Keough in charge. However, it is still unclear to whom Priscilla is referring.
“Everyone knew that Elvis left his young daughter everything after his death. He did so with the knowledge that she would be the one to carry on his legacy, “said Weinshanker. Because we were both trying to do what was best for Elvis, regardless of what anyone else was attempting to do or what a family member might do, we got along well.
Lisa Marie, a friend who passed away on January 12 at the age of 54, “couldn’t be bought,” according to Weinshanker, and she was “steadfast” and “quite direct” about who she wanted to carry on her family’s heritage.
Riley Keough and the late Benjamin Keough, whom she had with her ex-husband Danny Keough, were the subject of many discussions before she died, according to him. “They would be the stewards, and they would approach it the same way she did, was never a question in her mind. Riley felt Riley’s loss deeply when Ben passed away.”
Weinshanker stated that despite Riley’s successful acting and directing career, she “always had an interest” in managing her mother’s trust and “understood that one day she would be in charge” of it.
Within Lisa Marie’s close family, tension has been high in the weeks since her passing as Priscilla struggles to exert authority over Riley over the late star’s trust.

In January, Priscilla’s legal team submitted a petition in Los Angeles challenging the “authenticity and validity” of a 2016 modification to Lisa Marie’s trust that removed Priscilla as a co-trustee and replaced her with Keough.
According to the petition, the amendment was nullified due to several circumstances, including a name-spelling error and the fact that Lisa Marie failed to convey the modifications to Priscilla as required by the trust’s provisions. Even though a hearing is scheduled for April 13, it’s uncertain how long the family’s legal battle will last. Keep an eye on us for more information like this, Digitalnewsexpert.com.
