Priscilla Presley is looking toward the future with “integrity and love” despite the legal dispute over who will control the trust left to her by her deceased daughter.
The 77-year-old actress, unhappy with “some individual” for “trying to speak on behalf of our family,” shared a message with PEOPLE on Friday that hinted at issue surrounding daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s trust.
“Elvis and I have a deep love for one other. Lisa is the fruit of our union, “Priscilla started speaking. Anyone who holds a different opinion is disrespecting Elvis’ legacy and the legacy of the family, according to the statement.
Priscilla then mentioned, “some individuals that purchased their way into the family enterprise that is trying to speak on behalf of our family,” without giving names.
“This individual does not speak for Elvis or our family. Please give us the time we need to resolve this together. “She concluded. “I beg you to disregard “the noise.” I will continue to pave the way forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity, and love, just as I have always done for the legacy of Elvis Presley, our family, and the fans.”

The managing partner of Elvis Presley Enterprises, Joel Weinshanker, recently appeared on Sirius XM’s Elvis Radio to discuss the star’s recent attempts to maintain co-trustee of Lisa Marie’s trust despite a 2016 amendment made by Lisa Marie that put daughter Riley Keough in charge. According to the petition, the amendment was nullified due to several circumstances, including a name-spelling error and the fact that Lisa Marie failed to convey the modifications to Priscilla as required by the trust’s provisions.
