A significant new phase in the life of Rudeus “Rudy” Greyrat will begin with the release of the third season of the Mushoku Tensei anime. When will Season 3 of Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) be available to watch online?
Does this mean that the author of the original light book series has confirmed in some roundabout way that production on season three will begin soon?
Considering that the Mushoku Tensei Season 2 anime has yet to premiere, the release date for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 is still far off in the distance.
However, it was stated in July 2022 that season two will premiere in 2023, and development on it was confirmed in March 2022. Anime insiders have been saying for a while now that production on season three was approved long before the fact.
Leaker Sugoi LITE announced on May 5, 2021, that both Season 2 and Season 3 of Mushoku Tensei were already in production.

The tweet from May 2021, however, turned out to be inaccurate. One of the major animators on Episode 21 of Mushoku Tensei said, “[Mushoku Tensei Season 3] is not in production….” Difference between “greenlight” and “in production” It’s not currently being made. No mention of a go-ahead. According to “the rumors,” production has begun. An official go-ahead might not always mean production will begin. It wasn’t made in May of [2021], and that status hasn’t changed. The term “production” refers to the beginning of the process of making anything. To “greenlight” a project indicates that it is planned for production and will begin at some point in the future.
In response to this concern, Sugoi LITE stated, “I don’t normally distinguish [the] two terms often in the leak. green-lighted in the sense that I intended in May of last year… I made the mistake of equating the two terms. In retrospect, the term “greenlit” would have been the better choice. To rephrase, development on Season 3 is not “now underway.”
To clarify, when a project is “greenlit for production,” it simply means that it has been added to a producer’s queue and that the studio’s animation production team has scheduled their work for a future date. When anything is in production, proper pre-production has begun. (If you want to learn more about what goes into pre-production, there’s a great article about it on the Sakuga Blog.)
Despite the confusion over the nomenclature, neither the image nor the source has been revealed to confirm this information. Therefore, take this information on Mushoku Tensei Season 3 with a grain of salt, even though it’s a plausible rumor supported by other data.
The anime season that concluded in December 2021 had some viewers wondering if it was the second season. Due to the split between the first and second seasons, Mushoku Tensei ended with Episode 23.
It should also be mentioned that in November 2021, Niconico live-streamed an interview with Mushoku Tensei director Manabu Okamoto, who was asked if a movie adaptation of the series was in the works. Fan interest in the anime TV series would determine whether or not there will be a film, he claimed.
Some readers of the light novel series thought that the seventh volume, which contains a complete plot before the events of the multi-book University arc, would have been an excellent film. The second season has been greenlit, and the after-credits scene from the first season was adapted from the additional chapter at the conclusion of Volume 7. Therefore, it is unlikely that a movie adaptation will be made anytime soon.
The Mushoku Tensei anime’s third season has yet to reveal its cast.

Anime fans can thank Studio Bind, a new studio, for their introduction to the world with the Mushoku Tensei anime. Studio Bind was officially established in November 2018 as a joint venture between production studio EGG FIRM and animation studio White Fox to produce the Mushoku Tensei anime. In 2019, Studio Bind also subcontracted to assist Studio VOLN on episodes 22 and 31 of the Karakuri Circus series.
The announcement of Studio Bind adapting the ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister! manga series came out on April 22, 2022, making it the studio’s second major project after Mushoku Tensei Season 2.
Mushoku Tensei’s first season was directed by Manabu Okamoto. In fact, after 2017’s Gamers! anime, this was his second time in the director’s chair. Furthermore, he has directed episodes of Akame ga Kill!, Darling in the FranXX, and Re:ZERO: Beginning Life in Another World (see our story on Re: ZERO Season 3). The series composition was written by the director as well.
Rifujin a Magonote, the show’s original creator, is also participating in the production. To explain the anime’s fidelity to the source material, he acknowledged on his own blog that he is involved in authoring the script.
Kazutaka Sugiyama, the man in charge of the animation of Darling in the FranXX and also a character designer, is well-known. The music was written by Yoshiaki Fujisawa, whose credits include the titles Cautious Hero, GATE, Land of the Lustrous, Isekai Cheat Magician, and No Game No Life: Zero.
On March 22, 2021, with the airing of Episode 11 of Mushoku Tensei, the first season came to a close. The second season of the first season will not premiere until October 2021 instead of July 2021. The conclusion to Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Part 2 aired on December 19, 2021, with the release of Episode 23.
Season 2 of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has been confirmed for 2023, but a specific release date has yet to be determined. Neither the show’s length nor the number of episodes has been revealed. (Once official, this piece will be updated.)
On March 16, 2022, a new Mushoku Tensei OVA episode became available. Included in the box set of BD Volume 4. What occurred to Eris and Ruijerd when Rudy was meeting up with his dad Paul is depicted in the OVA episode “Eris the Goblin Slayer,” which takes place at the same time as Episode 16.
