Lupine Season 3: There have been 10 fantastic episodes of this French thriller on Netflix so far, split between two sections in 2021, and now fans must patiently wait for season 3. The new episodes are much anticipated, but there is good news and plenty of speculation to keep you occupied in the meantime.
For those unfamiliar with the TV show, Lupin centers on Omar Sy, who plays the gentleman thief Assane Diop, and his quest to avenge his father’s death against the picturesque backdrop of Paris. Named after the French detective Arsène Lupin, who served as inspiration for the character, Lupin is involved in a series of escapades revolving around the wealthy family that injured his own. Lupin is an invented detective created by French author Maurice Leblanc in 1905, who has since appeared in dozens of novels and short stories covering a wide range of mysteries and investigations.
With season 3 of Lupin on the horizon, fans have begun speculating about the show’s future cast, narrative, and, of course, premiere date.
Lupin Season 3 Release Date
While we don’t have a specific premiere date, season 3 of Lupin has been confirmed. Reporter Romain Cheyron said it was coming in May of 2021 Twitter. With a link to the character’s website (which looks to be down at the moment), the tweet reads, “Lupin’s ‘Part 3’ officially announced” (translated from French).
In the Lupin saga Next, Omar Sy said, “We can’t hide anything from you. A third installment of the Lupin series has been confirmed. What could be more convincing than an endorsement from the guy himself?
Plus, in November of 2021, the show’s official Instagram account asked, “Guess who’s returning and ready to steal the show? Filming has begun on Lupin 3.” Netflix has not made any formal statement as of yet, but these two posts provide strong evidence that it will soon.
We estimate that it will be released sometime between the latter half of 2022 and the first few months of 2023. The first season of the drama series debuted in January of 2021, while the second season premiered in June of the same year.

Lupin Season 3 Plot
As the first two seasons came to a close, fans were treated to a stunning climax in which Lupin revealed the truth about Hubert Pelligrini’s misdeeds which led to Pelligrini’s imprisonment alongside the corrupt police commissioner Gabriel Dumont.
By doing so, he made amends for his father’s wrongful reputation. This concludes what has been Lupin’s main storyline up until this point, making room for future developments. The Arsène Lupin novels provide a wealth of material from which to draw, suggesting that many exciting experiences are still to come.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Omar Sy said that the days of Lupin’s vengeance for this gentleman thief were far from finished. He has completed most of the work, but not all of it. While a lot of mysteries were resolved by the end of Season 10, there are still some that remained unsolved.
After years of seeking revenge, Assane showed restraint by turning over Pelligrini to the police; it seems that this more level-headed side of Assane will resurface in season three. The only difference is that Assane does not resort to physical force; he nonetheless achieves his ends in the same manner. Lupin is a model citizen in that he has never been violent or murderous.
Lupin Season 3 Cast
Omar is a busy man, yet he still finds time to star in another Netflix original series, this time the live-action adaption of the Japanese samurai series Yasuke. It’s safe to assume that his calendar will be full between his role in Jurassic World Dominion in 2022 and the filming of Shadow Force, but season 3 of Lupin will still make it in. Plus, J’accuse, the dog, will be there to act as his co-star.
Considering what has transpired thus far, we may assume that many of the show’s core characters will return for the third season.

As was previously mentioned, the fate of Hervé Pierre’s Monsieur Hubert Pellegrini and Vincent Garanger’s Commissioner Gabriel Dumont is in jeopardy after they were last seen sitting handcuffed in the back of a police car at the end of Season 2.
According to showrunner George Kay’s comments to Variety, season 3 will introduce several new characters and exciting plot twists. We won’t know the identities of these fresh faces just yet.
