Gridman Universe Movie: To kick off the Winter 2023 anime season, the theatrical release of the Gridman Universe anime film is set for March 24, 2023 in Japan.
It wasn’t until the closing credits of the June 2021 episode of SSSS.DYNAZENON that the GRIDMANDYNAZENON project was even mentioned.
In December 2021, at the Tsuburaya Convention 2021, it was announced that the project was actually a movie. The movie will be a crossover between the SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon TV anime series, and will be directed by the same people that worked on both shows.
The movie’s official title, “Gridman Universe,” was announced at the Ultra Heroes EXPO 2022 Summer Festival on August 2022 during the SSSS.GRIDMAN x SSSS.DYNAZENON Special Night.

The newly announced cast for the movie includes:

Katsuyuki Konishi
A voice actor from Wakayama, Japan, Katsuyuki Konishi (, Konishi Katsuyuki) was born on April 21, 1973. Now he works at Ken Production, where he has a connection. Volfogg/Big Volfogg was his first acting role, appearing in the Chinese animation series GaoGaiGar. The roles of Kamina in “Gurren Lagann,” Laxus Dreyar in “Fairy Tail,” and “Tanktop Master” in “One Punch Man” are his most well-known ones. His voice was heard as Ikki of Phoenix in Saint Seiya’s Hades Saga from the series’ inception in the early 2000s until 2008.
On the Bleach side of things, he’s well-known for having voiced both Keigo Asano and Shuhei Hisagi. He is well known for his roles as Tengen Uzui in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jonathan Joestar in the film adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Diavolo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.

At the 2010 Anime Expo in Los Angeles, USA, where he was the special guest, he talked to his fans and said that Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was his favourite anime character. In the 9th annual Seiyu Awards, held on March 6th, 2015, Konishi won the award for Best Supporting Actor.
Aoi Yuki
Born on March 27, 1992, Aoi Yabusaki is a Japanese actress, voice actor, and singer who goes by the stage name Aoi Yki (, Yki Aoi). She is signed with Aoni Production. In My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, she provided the voice of Komachi Hikigaya.

Japanese actress and singer Suzuko Mimori (, Mimori Suzuko) was born on June 28, 1986. HiBiKi Cast is proud to represent her. As a voice actress, she has lent her talents to Love Live! as Umi Sonoda, Revue Starlight as Hikari Kagura, and Healin’ Good Pretty Cure as Asumi Fuurin/Cure Earth. Her moniker among her friends is Mimorin.

The Gridman Universe film will once again have Akira Amemiya at the helm for Studio Trigger. The film’s screenplay was written by Keiichi Hasegawa. Anime veteran Masaru Sakamoto is responsible for character design. The music was written by Shiro Sagisu.
