It has been revealed that Ginny and Georgia Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on January 5, 2023.
Writer/executive producer Debra J. Fisher announced on TikTok in September 2022 that production on Season 2 was complete.
“To share what I do know and can say, we have recently completed filming. So, let me get this straight: what does that imply? Dubbing Ginny and Georgia into all of the non-English speaking languages will take Netflix 14 weeks “Fisher, speaking from the podium, explained.
Assuming we don’t hear anything further from Netflix before the year ends, that puts us there.
On Monday, April 19, 2021, Netflix shared a video on Twitter showcasing the show’s cast members to announce the renewal for a second season.

According to Deadline, Aaron Ashmore has been cast as Gil Timmins, Georgia’s ex and Austin’s father in the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Ginny and Georgia’s actresses, Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey, would be hard to replace.
Diesel La Torraca, who plays Georgia’s son Austin, Jennifer Robertson, who plays her next-door neighbour Ellen, Felix Mallard, who plays Ginny’s love interest Marcus, and Sara Waisglass, who plays Ginny’s best friend Max, are also set to return.

Photos from the set suggest that a large wedding will play a significant role in the sequel.
Georgia (Brianne Howey), the mother of the mother-daughter combination, is shown in set photos wearing an all-white bridal attire and holding a bunch of flowers as she sits next to Ginny (Antonia Gentry) in a white carriage (via Digital Spy).
If Georgia and Ginny are back on good terms, it’s because of the time Ginny and her younger brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca) stole a motorcycle and rode out of Wellsbury without looking back.

Based on the events of the first season, we can also hazard a few educated assumptions. Besides establishing a larger role for Ginny’s dad, the episode also teased the return of Austin’s dad, played by Aaron Ashmore.
No cause was ever given for Austin’s absences, and the series conclusion shows that Ginny did mail her brother’s letters to their dad, which apparently greatly disturbed Georgia.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the showrunners teased that not only will more of Georgia’s secret past be revealed, but also her present, as we will find out if her wedding to the dashing mayor of their town, Paul Randolph (Scott Porter), actually takes place without one of her many secrets leaking out.
Actress Howey told People, “I would like [Georgia] to tap into her heart and figure out what she really wants.” Other potential suitors for Georgia include Ginny’s dad Zion and cafe owner Joe.
