FNAF Ruin Security Breach Ruin DLC Release Date And New Trailer Reveals!

The release date for Five Nights At Freddy’s Security Breach’s upcoming DLC expansion, Ruin, has been officially disclosed. The clip, which you can watch in full below, has many sequences that will be familiar to those who have previously played through the main Security Breach storyline, but with the extra horror effect of the enemy animatronics looking much worse for wear. Instead of young Gregory, the player will take on the character of Cassie, a girl on a mission to save him.

While the audio plays a distress message from Gregory explaining that he is trapped inside the Pizzaplex, we see images of Roxanne Wolf, who is now missing most of her face in addition to just her eyes, Glamrock Chica stumbling around with no left arm, and Montgomery Gator’s fully exposed endoskeleton snapping its enormous jaws at the player. Sun, the battered fan’s favorite childcare attendant, even appears, waving at the camera.

The Release Date For FNAF Ruin DLC

The most important piece of information, however, comes at the very end of the trailer, when it announces a July 2023 release date.

JonnyBlox tweeted that ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Ruin DLC releases this month… here’s to hoping we get an exact release date soon. You can see below:

While there are many familiar faces in the video, they are in far worse deterioration and decay than Gregory left in the Security Breach main game. Glamrock Freddy is one sight that still has some unknown elements.

Although Freddy Fazbear had always been a menacing threat to the player in previous installments of the series, Security Breach took a different approach, removing most of the supernatural hauntings that normally plague the animatronics and instead making Freddy a lovable protector to our plucky young protagonist.

Around the 29-second mark of the video posted to developer Steel Wool Studios’ official YouTube page. What looks to be a Freddy exoskeleton appears, seemingly activating and lurching toward Cassie’s first-person vision. However, we don’t see any instances of him attempting to aid or hurt her, so it’s unclear what his function will be this time.

The original Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach debuted in December and earned mediocre reviews, with a Metacritic user score of 64. A segment of the franchise’s fan base condemned it for its flaws, while others commended it for moving the series in a radical new direction.

While previous FNAF games confined the player to a small room, controlling flashlights, security cameras, and reinforced doors with a limited amount of electricity, Security Breach is a full-fledged first-person survival action game, with Gregory roaming around a massive indoor theme park, dodging corrupted animatronics who are attempting to kill him and even engaging them in battle with a stunning laser and a variety of traps.

Cassie will have a few tools to help her along the road, according to the trailer (including an adorable Roxy-inspired walkie-talkie). Still, we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to know if she’ll be going it alone or if she’ll have the support of a big, scary metal bear. If nothing else, the DLC should keep FNAF fans entertained until the film’s debut, which is set for October 27.
