Diablo 4 introduces a number of new mechanics, but not all of them will affect your gameplay in real-time. The ability to unlock cosmetic items and boosts via the game’s Battle Pass is one such system. The Diablo 4 Battle Pass not only includes both free and premium content, but it also contains a number of useful items. While the official Diablo 4 release date approaches, we now have information on the upcoming Battle Pass feature. If you’re wondering how the Diablo 4 Battle Pass works and how much it will cost, our hub has all the information you need.
Explanation Of the Diablo 4 Battle Pass
As you play through Diablo 4, the Battle Pass will award you cosmetics and Premium Currency as you progress through the game. It is important to note that these cosmetics do not affect your character’s stats. This means that you will not miss out on any game-changing armor sets or weapons due to purchasing these cosmetics.
Wowhead posted a Tweet about Diablo 4’s Battle Pass. You can see the Tweet below.
What Exactly Is Included In The Diablo 4 Battle Pass?
The Diablo 4 Battle Pass provides the following benefits:
- Premium currency is used to buy cosmetics.
- Every player has access to free tiers.
- Seasonal cosmetics and aesthetics are available in the premium tiers. Available only in the Premium Battle Pass.
- Season Boosts: Increases the rate at which XP is earned, allowing you to level up multiple characters quickly. Everyone has access to it.
It is essential to keep in mind that despite the fact that tiers can be purchased, doing so will not hasten the acquisition of Season Boosts. You won’t be able to improve your Season Boosts simply by purchasing higher tiers; rather, you’ll need to earn level milestones before you can use them. On the other hand, the purchase of tiers will immediately grant access to all other tier rewards. Put another way; you can’t just buy Season Boosts—you have to earn them.
What Is The Price Of The Diablo 4 Battle Pass?
According to a recent blog post by Blizzard, the Diablo 4 battle pass will cost 1000 Platinum (approximately USD 10). Blizzard also offers an accelerated battle pass with tier skips and an emote. The accelerated pass will set you back 2,800 Platinum (approximately USD 25).
According to a Twitter exchange that was later shared on Reddit, the in-game currency earned from purchasing one Battle Pass will not be sufficient to purchase a separate Pass at a later date. This in-game currency, however, can be used to offset the cost of a new Battle Pass.
This means that players will either have to spend real-world money or earn enough in-game currency through other means to purchase the next Battle Pass in Diablo 4.
