The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder is available now on Paramount+ and features the return of Cosmo and Wanda from the original Nickelodeon animated series as well as a cast of new live-action characters. Christopher J. Nolan, the show’s runner and executive producer, is no stranger to Nickelodeon, having previously worked on the network’s Henry Danger and its spinoff, Danger Force. Butch Hartman, the show’s original creator, and Fred Seibert, the show’s original executive producer, are both serving in similar capacities for the new series.
Teenager Viv Turner and her new, popular stepbrother Roy are the focus of the sequel The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder. When Viv’s dad “reconnects with his high school love, marries her on a whim, leaves his job, sells their house in Oldsburg, and goes to Dimmsdale,” it brings the two families together abruptly. To help them adjust to their new lives, Viv and Roy are assigned fairy godparents, and most episodes focus on them attempting to escape the mayhem they’ve created via their own wishes, just like in the original animated series.
The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder introduces an entire cast of crazy and odd characters in an attempt to match the frenzied speed and absurdity of its predecessor, but Timmy Turner only receives the live-action treatment long enough to hand off his fairies to the next generation. Fans of the original series need not worry; Vicky, the villainous babysitter, and other beloved characters from the original series make surprising returns in the revival.
Audrey Grace Marshall as Viv Turner
Audrey Grace Marshall’s character, Viv Turner, is an introverted nerd who enjoys reading and watching British period costume dramas set in the 1800s. Compared to her stepbrother Roy, she is the more level-headed and reasonable wish-maker, however her desire for fame and acceptance among her peers may occasionally get out of hand when combined with unrestricted magic. In the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant, Marshall portrays a younger version of Kaley Cuoco’s character, Cassie Bowden.

In The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder, Roy’s popularity at Dimmsdale Jr. High is already well-established. Roy is a wonderful person who is overjoyed to have a sister, but he hastily makes wishes, which often have unintended consequences. Daran Norris & Susanne Blakeslee as Cosmo & Wanda
Cosmo and Wanda, previously voiced by Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee in the first Fairly OddParents, are back for another go around. Timmy Turner bargains with his nemesis Jorgen Von Strangle to give his beloved fairies to his cousin Viv when he goes away to college. Cosmo and Wanda are the only animated characters to survive the remake of Fairly Odder, as the rest of the cast has been updated to live action.

Laura Bell Bundy as Rachel Raskin
A new mother figure for Viv, and mom to Roy. She seemed perpetually on the verge of a nervous collapse. Actress Laura Bell Bundy has been working in the industry since 1993. She is most recognised for her roles as Sweetheart in Dreamgirls, Dr. Jordan Denby in Anger Management, and Becky “Boats Boats Boats” in How I Met Your Mother.

Mary Kate Wiles as Vicky
An unexpected plot twist is that after years of babysitting Timmy Turner, Vicky decides to become a teacher at Dimmsdale Jr. High. Wiles was one of the leads of the CW’s Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
Carlos Alazraqui as Crocker
Crocker, Timmy Turner’s original fairy-obsessed teacher from The Fairly OddParents, spends most of the reboot locked away in a mental hospital and is only mentioned. Crocker makes his live-action debut in the season finale two-parter, and his voice actor, Carlos Alazraqui, returns for the role. A Nickelodeon icon, Alazraquie has lent his voice to countless cartoons like Rocko’s Modern Life, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, El Tigre, and SpongeBob SquarePants.
