What Will Winnie The Pooh Blood And Honey Be About?

Speaking on Dread Central’s Development Hell podcast, Waterfield dropped some major story hints, including the confirmation that Pooh and Piglet will star in the slasher flick, but they won’t be the same as you know them.

“Story-wise, they’re supposed to be furious over what happened to Christopher [Robin]. As Christopher grew older and became increasingly hungry and savage, the amount of food available to Pooh and Piglet decreased dramatically “I’ll let him explain.

Waterfield further, saying that the group was “enraged” because “they had to resort to eating Eeyore” and then Christopher returned with his wife to introduce her to his old pals. The years of pent-up animosity explode upon seeing him, and they go on a killing spree.

Winnie The Pooh Blood And Honey Associated With Disney?

Despite Milne’s 1926 Winnie the Pooh novel falling into the public domain, Variety reports that Disney retains sole rights to the usage of its adaptations of Pooh Bear and his pals.

Waterfield noted on the show, “We’ve tried to be really careful.” “We were aware of the distinction that existed between the two, as well as the extent to which their copyright protected their actions. Therefore, we made every effort to restrict the film’s source material to the original 1926 edition.”

What Does Winnie the Pooh Blood And Honey Movie Poster Look Like?

Even though it was released on July 14th, the official poster for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is still rather terrifying. Instead of a fluffy teddy bear, it featured a sledgehammer-wielding Pooh and a villainous Piglet in a bleak environment.

is There a Winnie the Pooh Blood And Honey Trailer?

On August 31st, Jagged Edge Productions unveiled the first official teaser trailer for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. It’s safe to say that the slasher picture has a lot more blood than honey, judging from the nearly two-minute trailer.

At the start of the teaser, Christopher Robin and his lady love set off on a quest to locate his “friends of many years,” Pooh and Piglet. As the pair enters the foreboding woods, a wooden sign reading “100 Acre kinds of wood” in what looks like blood flashes on the screen with a jar of honey that has seen better days.

While dramatic music builds, his girlfriend sees a sign that reads “Eeyore R.I.P.” and that they “immediately depart,” but Christopher is adamant that they stay.

A state of chaos develops rapidly. Not in a cutesy way, Pooh pops up on the screen; similarly, Piglet is depicted brandishing an axe and ready to kill. The trailer does its job by establishing the tone with its tense music and accompanying screams (and squeals).

When Will Winnie The Pooh Blood And Honey Be Released?

Production on Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey reportedly ended in early May of this year, but the movie has yet to receive a release date.

Waterfield told the media that they planned to “accelerate the cut and get it through post-production as quickly as possible” because of all the attention the film was receiving. “Nonetheless, checking to see if it’s still edible. We plan to make it one of our top priorities.”

Will There Be a Winnie The Pooh Blood And Honey Sequel?

Waterfield suggested on Dread Central’s Development Hell podcast that a sequel to Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey was in the works, although he has not confirmed this.

He expressed hope that things may be taken to “much more of an extreme.” I’ve been thinking a lot of nefarious things about Pooh and Piglet and the situations in which I want to put them.
