What Will Happen In The Vinland Saga Season 2 Plot?
Askeladd, the commander of a group of mercenaries, killed Thors, an honourable Jomsviking general, in unfair combat during the first season. His son Thorfinn promised to exact revenge on Askeladd in a fair fight after witnessing everything that happened. But after years of development alongside Askeladd and ultimately witnessing his demise, he crushed the vengeful Thorfinn inside him and became hopelessly cynical.
The character arc of Thorfinn is concluded in the first season, but as manga readers assert, the genuine adventure has just begun. The second season of Vinland Saga continues the Slave Arc, sometimes referred to as Ketil’s Farm Arc in the manga.
As retribution for insulting the new king Canute and accusing him of taking away his reason for existing through the execution of Askeladd at the end of the first season, Thorfinn is become a slave. Thorfinn has only ever engaged in combat as a killing machine serving Askeladd, but season 2 will show us a different side of him and allow us to share in the suffering of a slave.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Cast: Who’s In It?
Shunsuke Takeuchi portrays Einar in the second season of the Vinland Saga, alongside Yuuto Uemura as Thorfinn, Mayumi Sako as Arnheid, Kensho Ono as Canute, Youji Ueda as Leif Erikson, Hideaki Tezuka as Ketil, Yuu Hayashi as Olmar, Fuminori Komatsu as Snake, Mugihito as Sverkei, Taiten Kusunok
The second season of Vinland Saga will be directed by Shuuhei Yabuta, who also oversaw the previous season. His other significant works include Parasyte: The Maxim, Overlord, No Game No Life, and Attack on Titan. Takahiko Abiru, who has previously worked on Hunter x Hunter, Redline, and Paprika, is the chief animation director and character designer.
The series composition is under the direction of Hiroshi Seko, and the art directors are Izumi Hirabayashi and Kentarou Oonuki. The music will once again be composed by Yutaka Yamada, who is well recognised for his work on anime series including Tokyo Ghoul, Great Pretender, and Vinland Saga season 1.
