When do Will Stranger Things return for Season 5?
The Duffer brothers stated in a recent interview that they do not yet have any set filming dates for the final season. They stated that their initial plan was to film Season 4 immediately followed by Season 5, but due to the extensive nature of Season 4, this production schedule was unable to be carried through. The Duffer brothers have stated that the delay in production will result in a time jump between seasons 4 and 5, which will most likely be used to adjust for the actors’ advancing ages.
Even while the Duffer brothers have a basic strategy for the upcoming season (which was planned from the very beginning of the series), it will take some time for them to write a full script. Filming can’t start until the Duffer brothers finish writing, of course. On August 2, the beginning of Season 5’s official writers room was announced.

We are shooting for a late 2023 premiere, although this may be an overly ambitious goal, especially if the fifth and final season is as successful as the fourth.

How Long Will Season 5 Be?
Netflix has confirmed that the season will be released as a “binge model,” which means that it will not appear weekly. This is a format that other streaming services are beginning to embrace, although we do not yet have a release date for the season.
According to the Duffer brothers, the episodes would proceed at a faster pace and be shorter than the episodes in the previous season, which was the fourth season.

What Else Will Happen in Stranger Things Season 5?
The fourth season of Stranger Things came to a close with a kind of a tie: while Vecna wasn’t able to kill Max or Eleven, he was able to unlock the final gate, which allowed Hawkins to split open and the Upside Down to begin seeping into Indiana. The show was a kind of draw.
A decisive confrontation between Vecna and Eleven is anticipated to take place at the end of Season 5, with the future of Hawkins (and the world) hanging in the balance.
