In the most recent episode of the second season of The Owl House, Hooty, King, and Eda attempted to create a temporary portal for Luz so that she could quickly check on her mother in the Human Realm.

Once she enters, she aims for an area with cubes that allows her to connect and communicate between the two dimensions using reflections.

Her doppelganger turns out to be Vee, a shapeshifting basilisk, who was also experimented on by the Coven of the Emperor and was originally called Number Five.

Her decision to live as Luz came after she fled the Boiling Isles because Camila had shown her kindness.

She needs magic to disguise herself, and Luz helps her by guiding her to the local museum, where they discover that the museum’s curator has been trying to kill demons for a very long time.

In the aftermath of Vee’s capture, Luz heads to her mother, where she tells her mother the whole truth and asks her for help.

After that, Camila is initially taken aback, but she soon grasps the gravity of the situation and takes action to secure the curator’s capture and free Vee.

She initially agrees to move in with Vee but changes her mind when she learns that Luz chose to remain in the Boiling Isles on her own accord.

Since the portal to the Demon Realm is unstable, Luz is dragged back there. Camila then asks her to promise that she will never leave her. Luz has mixed feelings about it.
