Beavis and Butt-Head are returning to series television. Paramount+ will premiere Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head in August. Beavis and Butt-Head, which aired on MTV from 1993 to 1997, returns in a new series. Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, an original film from Paramount+, recently revived the characters.
On Thursday, August 4th, Paramount+ will launch its new adult animated series, MIKE JUDGE’S BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD, with a U.S. debut and international streaming availability in all markets where the service is available.
It comes after the critically acclaimed and now streamable Paramount+ original film BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO THE UNIVERSE, which was just released and received widespread acclaim. “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” from 1996 is available, as well as remastered copies of the classic series. The entire library will be made available at some point in the future.

Also, on Thursday, July 21st, at 4:45 PM in Ballroom 20, “Beavis and Butt-Head” creator Mike Judge will be a part of a Paramount+ panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Beavis & Butt-HEAD DO THE UNIVERSE and the impending original series will be discussed by judge and moderator Paul Scheer. During the session, fans will get a first look at the upcoming series.
“Frog Baseball,” Mike Judge’s 1992 short film, was the inspiration for the characters Beavis and Butt-Head in MTV’s “Liquid Television” animated shorts programme. “Beavis and Butt-Head” lasted for seven seasons on MTV from March 8, 1993, to November 28, 1997, after the network commissioned a full series based on the characters. The eighth season of the series premiered on MTV in 2011.
When “Beavis and Butt-Head” debuted, it gained tremendous critical acclaim because of its scathing, socially conscious satire. After the show’s success, several related media such as the 1996 movie “Beavis and Butt-Head Do America” were created.
