One Piece Season 2: Cast, Story, Plot, And Where to Watch!

Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation is on the road, and there have already been plenty of character, story, and release date predictions and teases for what’s next for Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.

Based on the manga and anime series One Piece, the live-action Netflix show follows Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. Despite Zoro and Nami’s reservations, Luffy gathered the gang in the first season and headed out to find Gold Roger’s treasure, the One Piece, on the Grand Line.

There’s already a lot to talk about for the next season of One Piece on Netflix because it’s based on the comics and anime by Eiichiro Oda. The second season of One Piece would pick up where the first left off, covering the manga’s East Blue Saga.

Monkey D. Luffy has vowed to become a great pirate, and by the end of One Piece season 1, he is well on his way to accomplishing his ambitions, having obtained his own wanted poster, ship, and crew.

The second season of One Piece continues the Arabasta Saga, the following arc in the manga and anime, and depicts the early stages of the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey to the Grand Line. In this article, we’ll take a look at One Piece season 2, cast, story, and more.

Will There Be a Live-Action One Piece Season 2?

On September 14, One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda revealed on Twitter that the show had been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

This was most likely owing to Season 1’s massive audience, with millions of people turning in.

One Piece Season 2 Cast

The Netflix One Piece season 2 cast will primarily feature characters from the first season reprising their key roles. The Straw Hat gang will almost certainly return. Iaki Godoy is the captain of the Going Merry in the One Piece cast as Monkey D. Luffy.

Mackenyu Arata plays his deputy, Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd (Fear Street Part Two: 1978) plays the ship’s navigator, Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson (Grey’s Anatomy) plays the crew’s sniper Usopp, and Taz Skylar (The Lazarus Project) plays the cook Sanji.

Vincent Regan as Garp, Morgan Davies as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Armand Aucamp as Bogard, Jeff Ward as Buggy, and Ilia Isorels Paulino as Alvida are also likely to return in season 2.

There will also be a slew of new characters introduced, necessitating the casting of fresh performers for the second season of the live-action One Piece adaptation.

There has been no news of new One Piece characters in the season 2 cast. Chopper, Nico Robin, and Jinbe are still scheduled to join the crew in season 2 (though Jinbe’s entrance may be delayed until after the next season).

One Piece Renewed for Season 2 On Netflix

The announcement was made Thursday on social media. See Netflix’s post below:

One Piece Season 2 Story

The events of the Manga series are expected to be followed in the Netflix One Piece season 2 plot. The first season followed the East Blue Saga before delving into the Loguetown Arc.

The live-action One Piece season 2 story will most likely conclude the Loguetown Arc before moving on to the Arabasta Saga, which is the manga’s second saga after the East Blue Saga.

When it comes to completing the Loguetown Arc, the Straw Hats will have to confront Captain Smoker, who was teased in the season 1 finale, as well as adversaries who desire the reward. Monkey D. Dragon is also introduced in this episode.

The Arabasta Saga featured 117 chapters, so it’s uncertain how much of it would be included in the Netflix One Piece season 2 tale.

Of course, the East Blue Saga had 100 chapters and is now down to the final section. Big moments for the Straw Hats include their ship being swallowed by a giant whale, the introduction of Mr. 9 and Ms. Wednesday (both from Baroque Works), an island full of dinosaurs, and the eventual introduction of the evil Baroque Works leader Crocodile, who is part of Arabasta’s massive civil war.

How The Live-Action One Piece Ending Sets Up Season 2

The first season of Netflix’s One Piece concluded with a massive battle between the Straw Hat crew and the Arlong Pirates. Monkey D. Luffy and his crew faced a difficult task with Arlong as their vicious and powerful pirate captain.

The good news is that Monkey defeated Arlong one-on-one while his squad fought Arlong’s crew outside. The Straw Hat group then names their aims towards the end, and everything gels together flawlessly to form a great team working in sync.

The season also concluded with Monkey’s face appearing on a wanted map with a prize of $30,000,000, the largest bounty in East Blue.

This lays the stage for a series of events in the Netflix One Piece season 2 tale. For one thing, every pirate and bounty hunter alive will want to find and capture Monkey in order to receive that gigantic reward. In the end, a mysterious individual burned a hole in Monkey’s face on the wanted poster, hinting at this.

One Piece Season 2

Captain Smoker is most likely a formidable Marine captain. Alvida and Buggy appear to be establishing an alliance to bring down Monkey as well.

Finally, the Straw Hat crew has big goals, such as finding the All Blue, exploring the world, and becoming the world’s greatest swordsmen, warriors, and pirates.

There were also references to Baroque Works, implying that the antagonist will have a role in the future of One Piece on Netflix. While Baroque Works was not significantly featured until later in the manga, it appears that the live-action One Piece aims to establish them as the main antagonists.

The Straw Hats appear to be fighting their way through numerous villains until they reach the top — which is Baroque Works, with foes ranging from Mr. 5 to Crocodile.

This was an intriguing development because it allowed the adaptation to go far further than the following chapter of the One Piece manga and anime would allow in season 2.
