When Is The Nanny Release Date?

Nanny, a film produced by Amazon Studios, will premiere in US theatres on November 23. After that, on the 16th of December, you may see Nanny on Prime Video.

It has yet to be determined if the film will be released in cinemas in the United Kingdom, but it should be accessible to all Prime Video subscribers on December 16.

“Aisha, a new immigrant from Senegal, is hired to look after the daughter of a wealthy New York City couple. This psychological horror fable of displacement explores the effects of cultural assimilation and the trauma of uprooting.

Aisha is haunted by the thought of the small kid she had to leave behind and hopes that her new position will allow her to bring him to the United States, but she grows increasingly uneasy as she observes the family’s tumultuous dynamics. As his arrival draws near, a terrible presence invades both her thoughts and her reality, posing a threat to the American ideal she is meticulously stitching together.”

When discussing his plans to subvert the horror genre with Indiewire(opens in new tab) earlier this year, Jusu expressed his intent to do just that.

“I didn’t want to present a simple genre story,” Jusu explained. “I hoped to add a new twist to this story by combining elements from several genres into it. That’s something I see in many of my favourite movies. My goal was to use genre to reimagine the journey of an immigrant to the United States. Lots of individuals may relate to this, whether they were raised by a nanny themselves or their mothers were.”

Who Is In The Nanny Cast?

Aisha, the main character in Us, is played by Anna Diop. Amy and Adam, played by Michelle Monaghan of “Echoes” and “The Craft: Legacy” fame, and Morgan Spector of “The Gilded Age” fame, are a rich couple. Additional supporting cast members include Sinqua Walls (Friday Night Lights: American Soul), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), and Rose Decker (Mare of Easttown).
