Gossip Girl Season 2: Originally broadcast on the U.S. CW network, Gossip Girl is now available on Netflix and other streaming services. Created by Joshua Safran and set to premiere on HBO Max. It is a continuation and independent sequel to the CW’s TV show of the same name, which was adapted from the novels by Cecily von Ziegesar. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who created the original series, return as executive producers, while Safran, who was an EP on the original series and is now the showrunner, all work on the show’s production.
The story starts after An entirely new generation of New York City private school teenagers are exposed to the ugly reality of 24/7 social surveillance nearly a decade after the original Gossip Girl website went offline. The series’s original release date was July 8, 2021, on HBO Max. The second season of the show, which was renewed in September 2021, will premiere in December of that year.
Gossip Girl Season 2 Release Date
Season two of the American Gossip Girl reboot will premiere on December 1, 2022. Gossip Girl season one premiered in the United Kingdom on August 25, 2021, after it had premiered in the United States on July 8, 2021; season two may not premiere in the United Kingdom until 2023. A release date in the UK has not been set as of yet.

Gossip Girl Season 2 Plot
The storyline for Season 2 is currently unknown. But if you remember back to the season one finale, you’ll remember that Kate Keller and the other teachers at Constance Billiard and St. Jude (aka the masterminds behind the new Gossip Girl) published a spreadsheet with the names of everyone who had submitted anonymous tips.
Despite the apparent anarchy of the action, they intended for it to be the last episode of Gossip Girl ever aired. Except for until Kate makes a deal with the most powerful teen on the Upper East Side, Julien.
How Many Episodes Of Gossip Girl Reboot Season 2 Will There Be?
The first half of the 12 episode first season of the Gossip Girl remake aired before the show took a mid-season vacation. Even though it hasn’t been officially announced, we probably may expect about the same number of episodes in season two. There would also likely be a hiatus in the middle of the season.
Joshua Safran has admitted he knows the episode number but can’t reveal it right now.
There were a total of 121 episodes spread across the show’s six seasons. We’re crossing our fingers that the reboot has the same staying power, but for now, we just know there will be a second season.
