Netflix has revealed that the well-liked television programme “Cobra Kai” would terminate after its upcoming sixth season. The streamer announced the information on Friday in a video message that hinted that the series’ final season was the “baddest” yet.
A “The Karate Kid” spin-off series called “Cobra Kai” follows the Southern California martial arts competition scene. Before going to Netflix, the show debuted on YouTube for its first two seasons.
Along with the ensemble cast of Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Peyton List, Martin Kove, and Thomas Ian Griffith, it includes Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, the original “Karate Kid” stars.

The show’s creators, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, called the decision to discontinue the series “bittersweet” in a statement released on the show’s official Twitter account.
“It has been our humble honor to reacquaint the globe with the ‘Karate Kid’ universe. We are making “Cobra Kai,” which has allowed us to re-enter the revered dojo that the great Robert Mark Kamen, Jerry Weintraub, John Avildsen, and the rest of the fantastic original cast members previously called home.
Additionally, it has allowed us to play sensei, extending the original plotlines and giving rise to a new generation of underdogs. We never once took this chance for granted,” they declared.
The group expressed their gratitude for having the opportunity to wrap up the show on “our terms, departing the Valley in the time and place we’ve always dreamed.”
