Cobra Kai, the hit Netflix series that continues the story of The Karate Kid movies, is coming back for a sixth and final season. Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the epic rivalry between Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), as well as the fate of their students and the legacy of Mr. Miyagi. Here are some of the questions you might have about Cobra Kai season 6, and the answers to them.
When Will Cobra Kai Season 6 Be Released?
Netflix officially announced that Cobra Kai season 6 would be the last one on January 20, 2023. However, the production of the season has been delayed due to the strikes of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), which started in May and July 2023, respectively.
The strikes have affected many Netflix shows and movies, including Cobra Kai, which was supposed to begin filming in May 2023. As of September 2023, the WGA strike has been resolved, which means that writing can now continue in the sixth season.
However, the SAG strike is still ongoing, which prevents the actors from filming their scenes. Therefore, it is unclear when production on Cobra Kai Season 6 will resume and finish.
According to some estimates, Cobra Kai season 6 could be released in late 2024 or early 2025, depending on how soon the SAG strike ends and how fast the filming and post-production processes go.
However, these are only speculations and nothing has been confirmed by Netflix or the showrunners yet. For now, fans can rewatch the previous seasons on Netflix or check out some of the spin-off projects that are in development.

What Will Happen in Cobra Kai Season 6?
The plot of Cobra Kai season 6 will continue from where season 5 left off, with Daniel and Johnny joining forces to take down John Kreese and his Cobra Kai dojo. The fifth season ended with a cliffhanger, as Kreese called his old ally Terry Silver for help.
Silver is a ruthless and wealthy businessman who was also a Vietnam War veteran and a former karate champion. He helped Kreese torment Daniel and Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid Part III, but later disappeared from their lives.
Season 6 will explore the history and motivations of Silver, as well as his impact on the current karate scene in the Valley. It will also show how Daniel and Johnny will cope with their alliance and their personal issues, such as their relationships with their families and students.
Moreover, it will feature the aftermath of the All Valley Karate Tournament, which was won by Miguel Diaz from Eagle Fang Karate. The tournament also saw some surprising twists and turns, such as Robby Keene defecting from Cobra Kai to Miyagi-Do Karate, Tory Nichols revealing her feelings for Miguel, and Hawk switching sides from Cobra Kai to Eagle Fang Karate.
Season 6 will also wrap up the stories of all the characters and give them a satisfying conclusion. The showrunners have promised that it will be the “biggest” and “worst” season of the series and that it will end the show “on our terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we’ve always imagined”. However, they also hinted that there could be more Karate Kid stories in the future, possibly in the form of spin-offs or movies.
