Archer Cast: Meet The Artist Behind The Voices

Archer is an American adult animated television series that premiered on FX in September 2009. Adam Reed created the show which follows the adventures of a dysfunctional group of spies at the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). The show combines elements of spy fiction, workplace comedy, and satire and has been praised for its sharp writing, unique animation style, and talented voice cast.

The show’s main character is Sterling Archer, a self-absorbed, womanizing spy who is also an expert in hand-to-hand combat and firearms. He works alongside his ex-girlfriend and fellow agent, Lana Kane, and a team of other eccentric characters, including his alcoholic mother.

Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane)

Aisha Tyler possesses a silky voice and the capacity to improvise, giving Lana the seductive and sarcastic attitude we adore.

You may recognize her from the following places: Aisha Tyler is a lady that has a very full schedule. Her ability to make people laugh has led to her landing a wide array of different gigs. In addition to her role as a co-anchor on “The Talk,” she recently took over for Drew Carey as the host of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” She was prominently featured in the television shows Friends, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, and 24. She is the author of a book as well as the Girl on Guy podcast, which has won multiple awards.

H. Jon Benjamin (Sterling Archer)

One of the funniest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of speaking with was H. Jon Benjamin. His resume includes a vast number of writing and producing credentials, as well as acting roles, in some of the most entertaining series on television. In addition to his work on Archer, for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2010 for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance, he also provides the voice for Bob Belcher on Bob’s Burgers. In this capacity, he has received two nominations.

Where you may have already seen or heard him: In addition, Benjamin starred in and produced the series Jon Benjamin Has a Van, which aired on Comedy Central. Before that, he provided the voice for Ben, the slothful son of Dr. Katz, in the animated series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, which ran from 1995 to 1999.

He and David Cross came up with the idea for the animated series Freak Show in 2006, and both of them provided their voices for various characters in the show. You may also recognize his voice from appearances on Adult Swim’s Lucy, Daughter of the Devil, Family Guy, Assy McGee, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and The Venture Bros.

Jessica Walter (Malory Archer)

Malory Archer, played by Jessica Walter, has a steely quality because of Jessica Walter’s performance. On Broadway, she debuted in a number of productions at the beginning of her career. In point of fact, she was one of the leading actors in Anything Goes, which won the Tony Award in 2011. In 2013, she was nominated for an Annie Award for her performance in the role of Malory Archer.

You may recognize her from the following places: The majority of us first became familiar with Jessica Walter when she played the role of Lucille Bluth in, for which she received an Emmy Award nomination in the year 2005. She was considered for a Golden Globe award in 1972 for her role in the film Play Misty for Me, in which she co-starred in with Clint Eastwood.

Chris Parnell (Cyril Figgis)

Chris Parnell is another actor that puts forth a lot of effort. He is a familiar face in a number of different movies and television series. He delivers each line with just the proper amount of hesitation, which is perfect for the bumbling Cyril Figgis.

Where you may have already seen or heard him: The eight seasons that Chris Parnell worked as a cast member on Saturday Night Live are mostly responsible for his widespread fame. Some of his impressions were of Tom Brokaw, and others were of Joe Lieberman. In addition to that, he may be seen on 30 Rock and Rick and Morty. Regarding his work in the film industry, he had roles in comedies such as “The Five Year Engagement,” “21 Jump Street,” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.” Chris Parnell went to The Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles in order to develop his timing for comedic performances. Judy Greer (Cheryl Tunt)

Judy Greer’s comic turn as Cheryl (also known as Carol and Charlene) in the early episodes of Archer helped her gain more and more screen time for her character. Her voice has a girlish quality to it, which is ideal for the character of Cheryl, who is dimwitted and obsessed with sex.

You may recognize her from the following places: Judy Greer has probably already made an impression on you, even though you may not be familiar with her full name. In point of fact, she documented her experiences in a book that she titled. She appeared alongside George Clooney in the film Tomorrowland, Anne Hathaway in Love & Other Drugs, Katherine Heigl in 27 Dresses, Helen Hunt in What Women Want, and Jennifer Garner in 13 Going on 30.

Amber Nash (Pam Poovey)

On Archer, Amber Nash plays the role of Pam, which gives her access to some of the show’s most memorable dialogue. Even though I can’t use it here, one of my favorite quotes belongs to Pam. It has something to do with snacking, but I can’t disclose it.

You may recognize her from the following places: Amber Nash provided the voice for Val in another Adam Reed animation titled. She spends most of her time teaching and performing in Atlanta, Georgia, at venues such as Dad’s Garage Theatre Company and Laughing Matters, where she makes use of her exceptional comic and improvisational abilities.

Lucky Yates (Krieger)

Lucky Yates is one who portrays the character of the self-proclaimed genius Dr. Algernop Krieger in the show. His deep baritone lends itself to Krieger’s mysteriousness. Must check Saved By The Bell Cast.

Frisky Dingo, who was the lucky recipient of Lucky’s Xtacle, may have previously appeared or been heard in some places. In addition to that, he hosted a program in Atlanta, Georgia, called Prairie Home Companion which was very similar to a live on-stage chat program that was broadcast each week.
