The majority of movies based on video games are terrible. Instead, Arcane was a smashing success. Whether or not you’re familiar with League of Legends, this series is excellent on its own. Now put yourself in the shoes of a League of Legends fan. There was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears spent over the course of six years to get the narrative of Vi and Jinx to the big screen, and now we’re eagerly waiting for Season 2 of Arcane to drop.
Arcane Season 2 Release Date:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news to you, but it looks like season 2 of Arcane won’t premiere until late 2023, at the earliest. With the first season’s popularity as motivation, Fortiche, together with the show’s writers and producers, will take their time with the second. Perhaps that is for the best. Nothing that would be disappointing to viewers is wanted.
Thanks to the success of Season 1, Riot Games’ stakes have increased significantly. You can’t expect to avoid scrutiny after your show won every animation category Emmy Award, Annie Award, and other such honours, right? A new season will not begin until 2022. As for when it will actually arrive, we think it will be sometime in the second half of 2023, or perhaps even the beginning of 2024 if there are any delays.

Where Will It Take Place?
The events of Season 1 of Arcane took place in Piltover and Zaun, two cities that are exact replicas of one another. Zaunites live in the Under City, which is covered with chemicals but is home to a bustling society, in contrast to the wealthy, sunny city of Piltover, which is home to a sizable academy.
Can we expect to leave these urban areas? Most likely not. The first season’s plot ends somewhat suddenly, leaving many things unsolved. We can assume that Arcane Season 2 will pick off right where Season 1 left off, albeit with a time jump, thanks to the indications we got in several of the concluding sequences of the last episode and our familiarity with the mythos. Further, we should expect to see some Noxian flavour added to the mix.
What to Expect From The Plot?
As was recently indicated, we anticipate a significant role for Noxus in Arcane Season 2. Throughout the first season, we were given visual cues that may have alluded to Swain and his role in Runeterra’s events.
Moreover, Singed will develop into an important figure in the upcoming season. In the final Singed scenario, we can plainly make out Warwick, who many assume to be Vander, and, well, if you’ve read League of Legends lore, you know that Singed is the mastermind behind all that happens on Runeterra. He supposedly abandoned Zaun to join Noxus in their invasion of Ionia, according to his own champion lore. We may follow suit and go explore that area. That would be the coolest thing ever.
