An exclusive trailer for the threequel was shown at Marvel’s Comic-Con 2022 panel, which was attended by a large number of Marvel fans.
The release date of Ant-Man 3 was originally set for July 2023, however, due to scheduling conflicts, it was moved up to February 2023 to make room for The Marvels. With the completion of filming and the resulting alteration in the film’s release schedule, Marvel must be confident in its readiness to go.
For the third film, it seems like Evangeline Lilly has big expectations. Her reaction to the script by Jeff Loveness was enthusiastic. In fact, I believe it has the potential to be our finest one yet.
Ant-Man 3 release date
A few dates have shifted, but Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will open in theatres on February 17, 2023, as previously stated.
Lilly admitted to Digital Spy that this was the most difficult shoot she has ever done because of all the constraints.
According to her, “there were just circumstances and logistics, as well as the status of the world – you know, everything – that made the shoot more difficult than any of the ones we’ve done so far.”
“However, I’m optimistic that it will be the finest of the three, and I can’t explain why. As much as I’d like to, I just can’t. I do think it’s got the potential to be very, really great.”
Ant-Man 3 cast
Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man, and Hope van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp, played by Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, return.
In addition to Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer, who will reprise their roles as Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie will also return, but she will not be played by Emma Fuhrmann, who previously appeared in the film Avengers: Endgame.
Cassie Lang will be played by Big Little Lies and The Society actress Kathryn Newton in the third film.
Newton seems to confirm that the MCU’s Cassie will have a superheroic destiny, as comic book aficionados will know she does as Stature.
She teased, “I’m going to give it my all to be the best superhero ever.”
If anything, Fuhrmann appears to have a soft spot for the news that she would be replaced as Ant-Endgame Man’s character for the third film in December 2020.
“My heartfelt gratitude goes out to you all. All I can say is, thank you! My heart sank when I heard the news on Thursday. If this is the case, I can only assume that the MCU has more in store for me in the future “She put pen to paper.
“I will be eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the biggest film ever made. I’m still a huge fan of acting, and I can’t wait to see what the future offers.”
In addition to Newton, Lovecraft Country’s Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang the Conqueror, which was previously rumoured to be the case in September 2020.
It wasn’t until the season finale of Loki that Majors made his MCU debut as He Who Remains, not Kang. What does that have to do with the third instalment? We’ll take care of you.
Even so, Majors has made it clear that both personalities are distinct: “Ant-Man does not feature He Who Remains. The name on the other end is Kang.”
All we know about Bill Murray’s character is that he’s a bad guy in the threequel.
The exclusive Comic-Con teaser showed that MODOK will appear in the forthcoming film, as well as other baddies. We don’t know who is voicing him yet, but we guess that it isn’t Patton Oswalt, who voices the animated version of the character.
That’s all we have for now in terms of confirmed cast members, so we can rule out David Dastmalchian and Judy Greer, who played Kurt and Scott’s ex-wives Maggie, from returning for the sequel.
Bobby Cannavale, Maggie’s new husband Jim Paxton, would be hesitant to return if Greer isn’t. In November 2020, he claimed he wasn’t sure if he’d be returning.
In WandaVision, Randall Park reprised his role as Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp, but confessed that he hadn’t “received the call” for Ant-Man 3. However, he did say that he would return if requested.
Peyton Reed promises a “hard left turn” on the tone for the third Ant-Man film compared to the last two!

Tip ‘TI’ Harris, who played Scott’s pal Dave on the show, will not be returning.
TI and his wife Tiny have been accused of sexual abuse by a number of women, but it isn’t clear if the decision to cancel Ant-Man 3 is related to these claims.
Aside from these charges, the pair is also accused of kidnapping and false imprisonment as well as assault, harassment, and intimidation, as well as the ingestion of illegal drugs without their will.
“There’s always a chance,” director Peyton Reed said of Walter Goggins’ comeback as villain Sonny Burch.
Even though he was meant to die in the previous film, Corey Stoll could return as Darren Cross, aka Yellowjacket, in the next sequel. In May 2021, Lilly posted a picture of the script with Stoll’s name and the names of the other members who had already been cast.
Marvel fans believe Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy has joined the MCU as well, as he was sighted in London with Rudd in August 2021. This could all be wishful thinking, however. A cameo appearance was all but impossible, according to Levy.
Ant-Man 3 plot
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s first synopsis was released following Marvel’s Comic-Con event. Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne, the Ant-Man and The Wasp, are back for more heroic adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp.
As Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne lead the family on an expedition through quantum space, they encounter bizarre new animals and push themselves to their physical and mental limitations.
Due to the movie’s title, we already knew that it was going to take place in the Quantum Realm. How Kang fits into that is still a mystery, but the official poster gives us our first glimpse at him.
Ant-Man 3 Trailer
An exclusive trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was screened to Comic-Con attendees in Hall H.
A February release date means that the trailer should be online soon. Hopefully. To avoid appearing cruel, let’s hope Marvel doesn’t delay the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever until November 2022.
When Chronopolis, the metropolis he rules over in the comics, was sighted in the Quantum Realm, an Easter egg hinted that Kang might appear in Ant-Man and The Wasp. If that’s the case, then the MCU might be Kang’s home as well.
After mentioning Cassie Lang, it’s possible that we’ll see the beginning of Cassie becoming Stature, a Young Avengers member, in the upcoming threequel.
Even though Kang is a part of the movie, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of Sonny Burch making a comeback to exact his vengeance. It’s possible that the sequel could have revealed a future villain in plain view.
Ghost’s father was revealed to be none other than Elias Starr in her backstory. Because of Ghost’s situation, it appears like he has been killed off, yet a reappearance is not entirely out of the question.
The missing Pym Particles from the first film may finally be solved, as well as the fate of Ghost following the events of Ghostbusters II…
